どうも、けこぜろです。
このnoteでは僕自身の「スキ」なことを度々投稿していますが、ここ最近は音楽に関する話題が多いですね。
音楽といえば幼少期から好きな浜田省吾やゲームの音楽と、昨年からハマったBring Me The Horizonについてよく投稿しています。
特にBring Me The Horizonは今月の頭に来日し、フェスも開いてくれました。
非常に素晴らしい経験ができたと感じていて、このフェスに参加してからそれまで何となく聴いていたBring Me The Horizonの音楽について、ちゃんと歌詞とかを調べるようになりました。
ということで、今回もBring Me The Horizonの音楽について。
アルバム『That's the Spirit』より『Follow You』を紹介します。

『Follow You』はアルバム『That's the Spirit』の5曲目で、穏やかなメロディのラブソングとなっています。
この前のフェス「NEX_FEST」でも歌われましたが、アコースティックなアレンジで非常に素敵でした。
Bring Me The Horizonというと結構激しい曲調のものが多いのですが、珍しいくらいの穏やかな曲となっていますね。
そんな『Follow You』ですが、今回ちゃんと歌詞を調べたところ、その内容としては強すぎて狂気的にすら感じる愛の形を描いていました。
また、ミュージックビデオもかなり過激でグロテスクなものとなっていました。
一応最初から最後まで視聴しましたが、苦手な人は要注意な内容でしたね。
ですが、この過激なMVも曲の世界観を非常によく表しており、歌詞が分からなくても何となく理解できるような内容にもなっていましたね。
まとめ
こんな感じで、Bring Me The Horizonの『Follow You』の紹介でした。
穏やかで素敵なラブソングと感じていましたが、歌詞は狂気的な愛を描いていました。
MVもかなり過激でグロテスクでしたし、最初に感じていた印象とはかなり違うものでしたね。
改めて自分の英語力の低さを実感しましたね。
