どうも、けこぜろです。

昨日、Apple Musicの方で今年のまとめが表示されました。
今年も幼少期から好きな浜田省吾をよく聴いていましたが、次点で初めてのフェスに参加したBring Me The Horizonの音楽をたくさん聴いていました。
聴いた曲ランキングトップ10の中7曲はBring Me The Horizonなくらいでした。
驚きの割合です。
Bring Me The Horizonの曲が多いのは聴きまくっていたので想像通りでしたが、3位にランクインしたのはYUNGBLUDとBring Me The Horizonのオリヴァー・サイクスのコラボ曲『Happier』でした。

初めて聴いた時からすごく好きで、この曲ばかりリピートして聴いていました。
今月初めのフェスでも聴けましたし、その来日の際に東京で撮られたミュージックビデオも先日公開となりました。
このMVは最高すぎて感動したくらいでしたね。

ということで、今回はYUNGBLUDの楽曲について。
フェスでも聴けた、YUNGBLUDの曲の中で2番目に好きな『The Funeral』を紹介します。

YUNGBLUD『The Funeral』

『The Funeral』は2022年に発売されたアルバム『YUNGBLUD』の1曲目。
上でも触れたように、今月頭に行われたフェス「NEX_FEST」でも歌われた曲でした。
1番好きなのが最新曲である『Happier』で、この曲があまりにも良かったのでYUNGBLUDをちゃんと聴こうと思ったんですよね。
フェスでの姿が最高でしたし、実際に彼の音楽を聴けて本当に素晴らしかったです。
お陰ですっかり好きになりましたね。

『The Funeral』はライブで聴いて特に好きになりました。
シングルであるEP版にはアコースティック版、ライブ版、デモ版と収録されています。
この記事を書く際に見つけましたが最高ですね。

「葬式」というタイトル通り、この曲は自身の死と向き合うような歌です。
曲の雰囲気が良くて好きになりましたが、歌詞もまた非常に良かったです。
特にサビの歌詞がなんとも印象的です。

自分の葬式で踊っていた
君がやってくるのを待ちながら
きれいに見えたらいいなと思っていた
瞳に涙を浮かべて踊る君が
でも誰も来なかった

公式でこういった動画を公開してくれるのは嬉しいですね。

YUNGBLUDの曲は歌詞が非常にいいですね。
若者を中心に人気なのもよく分かります。
僕自身も今回の来日フェスに合わせて聴くようになりましたが、本当にいい歌を歌っているように感じます。
