#05 time eraser

prologue

Alien VILLA was weaker than any other alien, so always being attacked.
True that the alien was physically weak, but it has extreme mind power.
In turn, its strong frustration enabled the bully magnet to control time,
The alien could not completely stop time,
but accelerate its own movement to the limit, for five seconds at a time.
So all the things around looked like almost no movement,
even though they actually moved extremely too slowly.
Just the five seconds gave the alien a great power.
The alien began to invade one planet after another.
The more it had, the more it wanted. 
It happened to find a beautiful blue planet,
and got eager to make the Earth its own so badly.

Aliens GODOLA had intruded the hideout with ease,
so The Youth had to reinforce its defenses.
Fame goes with inconvenience.
The Youth operated based on two bases: V1, Mt Takao underground facility and V2, camouflaged as a forbidden multitenant building in Kabuki cho, Shinjuku.
And V3, the third base, was being built in the outer space.
The fact was that one of the club activities possessed these facilities
because the members were celebrities and,
especially, KIRIYA was a multibillionaire.
At first, he had started up the Youth for pleasure,
but the natural otaku enthusiast made the mere circle bigger and bigger,
because he was not satisfied until he did everything TOKOTON (thoroughly).

In order to improve the security, he asked an old friend USHIMA for help.
USHIMA diode was going to make their ET radar more sensitive.
Today he left his house in Noda, Chiba for Mt Takao, by Keio Line now,
which is sometimes filled with climbers, yet that day, was not so crowded.
With the sunshine on his back, he kept dozing off,
when TIME STOPPED, or accurately, TIME WAS STOPPED.
Then, a MYSTERIOUS man the face of whom was like that of a flat red lobster approached USHIMA, touched his forehead, and left him.
TIME BEGAN GOING AGAIN as if nothing had happened.

MOROBOSHI picked up USHIMA at Takaosan-guchi Station by Beetle.

"Aliens these days are good at changing themselves into human beings. 
The Youth is OK, isn't it?"

"I think it's OK."
(What did he say such a thing?  Is he truly Professor USHIMA? 
ET radar shows no reaction of aliens.   He exactly is an earthman.)

Arriving at the hideout, USHIMA received a hearty welcome.

"I'd like to ask you to set up immediately, but relax yourself tonight, Please."

"Thanks a lot, but I only want to do final check, all right?"

At midnight, FURUDA opened the secret door and went outside the hideout,
when TIME STOPPED and the lobster man,
alien VILLA passed each other inside.

It had the device to STOP TIME just five seconds at once.
The alien stood at USHIMA's bedside.

USHIMA closed his eyes again.
It left the hideout for the darkness.
The harder it is to come in, the easier it is to go out.

The following day, USHIMA asked MOROBOSHI
to set a new diode to the radar, which actually made it more sensitive.
The mother radar had nothing wrong,
because MOROBOSHI had grasped everything.
That meant that he had known what VILLA told USHIMA to do.

MOROBOSHI checked over the video of ET radar camera
to examine the intruder.
Right at the moment VILLA and FURUDA passed each other,
IT became invisible and what is more,did not respond to the radar as
if time were erased.

"It can stop time!  How long and how?"

Alien VILLA understood that USHIMA failed in its plan, and intruded again,
this time to destroy the hideout by itself.
However, it got caught by the high performance radar,
and soon surrounded by the Youth members.
The moment they lost the sight of it, and looking around,
saw it running away every five seconds.
Also MOROBOSHI hid himself.

The young man with red glasses suddenly appeared in front of the escaper.

Scarcely had he put his hands together over his head
before the target vanished again.
The next moment MOROBOSHI felt himself attacked and fell down there. 
No sooner had the alien tried to attack him saying [[[ K.I.L.L. ]]]
than he perceived its moment's action to avoid the alien at a hair's breadth 
and attacked it with his lightning knife in his right hand. 
Its large and flat head was split by the lightning knife in an instant.
Sure that he won, the injured young man fell to the ground.

"Narrow escape…"

The problem was solved.

epilogue

MOROBOSHI awoke to find YURI anxiously staring at him.

(Time eraser, terrifying…)

Relieved to see her face, he fell asleep again.
Although having been hypotized in the train, fortunately,
USHIMA might well come to himself soon.
