Abstract
The number of UK students who were accepted into Chinese courses rose by 5%, Japanese courses rose by 71%, and Korean courses rose by 250% reported looking at admission data from UK universities from 2012 to 2018. Although, the total number of students accepted into Korean courses was quite low.
This meant that by 2018, the same number of UK students were being accepted into Korean degrees as Russian degrees, and more students were studying Chinese or Japanese than Italian. According to The Guardian, experts think the increased interest in these languages is a result of the popularity of things such as anime, video games, K-pop and South Korean movies and TV shows.

Which of the languages mentioned in the article would you like to learn?

I would like to learn Chinese next to English, if I were to learn because it is already difficult to world economic activities without China.
I am sure that China has a huge effect on the world economy as much as the US. In addition, The Chinese population is the most in the world. I think It means that being able to speak Chinese increases the possibility of getting a good job or salary, even if I were somewhere. In addition, the Chinese political situation also affects our life. Then, It would get information sooner from Chinese local news than other information that is through abroad news casts. I don’t have a good image of China because I often hear about some ethnic and racial problems in China.
The Chinese social system sometimes differs from most other countries. That’s why, I think it is worth learning their culture and social system without prejudice. Because, it is difficult to note the faults in the social system by ourselves in which we live.
