'64s Mexican Ring

最初にJewelryにハマったのは、ターコイズに惹かれて何も分からずデザインが気に入って買ったGary ReevesというNavajo族のアーティスト物がスタートでした。

そこからFred Harvey Style、Military ID Bracelet、College Ring、TENDERLOIN、Cody Sandersonなどを経て、ここ何年間は何も付けない時期を過ごしていましたが、面白い事に去年から今年にかけて、自分の好みにヒットするJewelryとのご縁が続きました。

これまではNavajo族を代表するStump Work、Sand Castといった表面に柄、質感を表現する技法を使った物を特に好んでいましたが、今は写真のようなズニ族が得意とするInlay技法といって、Silverで仕切りの枠を作り、カッティングを施した石をはめ込んで図柄を完成させるデザインの物が断然好みです。

Jewelryは面白いなと改めて思えるのは、身に付ける本人の想い入れ度合いや、STORY性などによって全然違う物に変化し、凄くパワーを貰えたり、御守りの様な存在に変化する点が良いですよね。

最近は年齢と共に趣味嗜好の変化を楽しむのも、ファッションの面白さだなぁ〜と改めて感じながら指輪を眺める日々です。

 The first thing I fell in love with Jewelry was Gary Reeves, a Navajo artist who was attracted to turquoise and didn't know anything about the design.

 From there, through Fred Harvey Style, Military ID Bracelet, College Ring, TENDERLOIN, Cody Sanderson, etc., I've spent the last few years doing nothing, but interestingly, from last year to this year, I hit my taste.  The relationship with Jewelry continued.

 Until now, I especially liked things that used techniques to express patterns and textures on the surface, such as Stump Work and Sand Cast, which represent the Navajo tribe, but now I like the Inlay technique that the Zuni tribe is good at, as shown in the photo.  By the way, I definitely like the design that makes a partition frame with Silver and inserts cut stones to complete the design.

 What makes Jewelry interesting is that it changes into something completely different depending on the degree of feelings of the person who wears it, STORY, etc., and it gives a lot of power and changes into an amulet-like existence.  right.

 Nowadays, I enjoy looking at the rings while feeling the fun of fashion, enjoying the changes in my hobbies and tastes with age.
