Polkadot experienced impressive development and ecosystem growth in the first half of 2023 by reaching some significant milestones on the Polkadot Roadmap. Our team at OAK Network wanted to take a look at some of the recent advancements within the Polkadot ecosystem and share some of the news about exciting developments coming with the future of Polkadot and OAK Network.

OAK Network staff members had the opportunity to speak about OAK at the latest Polkadot Decoded in Copenhagen and got to hear firsthand from Gavin Wood about the future of Polkadot or what many in the ecosystem are calling Polkadot 2.0.

The new path for Polkadot 2.0

With this new approach to envisioning the future of Polkadot, Gavin Wood describes how the Polkadot Network aims to enable a broad spectrum of supercomputing functionality enabled by heterogenous cores (what we know currently as parachains such as OAK Network) and complex computing power in a manner that remains decentralized, resilient, innovative, high performing, and highly agile.
