I am not a designer, artist, or 3D modeler… I have had absolutely no experience with smart contracts or blockchain whatsoever. But I managed to create my first NFT collection for free and I also sold them.

Here’s how.

The first thing I did was, I went to a site that used to give out commercially usable free 3D models. I took one of the models that I liked, I followed a tutorial to put that model into blender, and render it. It was simple but it wasn’t too pretty. I dumped it into photoshop and created about 30 variants of my NFT collection, each with a different filter. (Easy, but smart eh?)

With a little bit of browsing, I realized, that to make a collection with a ton of NFTs, I needed a smart contract and layers? I was lost and didn’t understand anything, and neither was I going to make multiple models, to create layers (Yes I was lazy to do it since I wasn’t sure of its success.)

So therefore, I decided to manually upload my 30 NFTs on the polygon blockchain to the opensea marketplace. A painstaking process, but I did it. Eventually, all my 30 NFTs were on the marketplace! Great moment, but now what? This was the part, that I never succeeded in… marketing. Quite painful to find an audience that isn’t bots, and most of all finding collectors or people who want to invest in your project is an even harder task.
