彼女は女の子で

僕の恋人でもなんでもなくて
もちろん片想いの相手でもなくて

そのへんにごく普通にいるような
ただの薄っぺらい女の子に過ぎないんだけど、

それでも
あんまりにも薄っぺらいもんだから

もう
ちょっとでも風が吹こうものなら

あっちへフラフラ
こっちへヒラヒラ

頼りなげになびいたり
あてもなく飛ばされたりして

水たまりに落ちて濡れるんじゃないか

空に舞い上がって
遠くへ行っちゃうんじゃないかって

ちょっとハラハラしたり
ドキドキさせられたりすることも

ないこともないというか
あるにはあるんだ。

もっとも

そんな薄っぺらい彼女がどこでどうなろうと
そんなの

まったく恋人でも
片想いの相手でもない僕には

ちっとも関係ないことではあるんだけどね。

Leave the Wind

She is a girl.

She is neither my lover,
nor of course my unrequited love,
but just a flimsy girl who is just around there.

Still, she's so thin that
if the wind blows a little more,
she'll be blown away, blown over here,
fluttering unreliably,
and blown away without any hesitation.

Would she fall into a puddle
and get wet?

Isn't she going up into the sky
and going far?

It's there for me that I'm a little worried,
excited, and nothing for her.

However, it doesn't matter at all for me
who is such a flirtatious girlfriend
and who is not her lover
or unrequited friend at all.
