【論説】不完全小説

「この小説はフィクションである」

と小説の中に書かれてあるとしても
その小説が本当にフィクションであるとは限らない。

少なくとも、その小説がフィクションであることを
完全に証明することはできない。

なぜなら仮に、この小説が作者による
まったくの想像による産物であるとしても

それによって表現された内容が
現実のどこにも存在しないという事実を
すべて確認する方法がないから。

さらにまた

「この小説はノンフィクションである」

と小説の中に書かれてあるとしても
その小説が本当にノンフィクションであるとは限らない。

少なくとも、その小説がノンフィクションであることを
完全に証明することはできない。

なぜなら仮に、その小説が実名を用い
ある事実と相違ない内容であるとしても

作者が想像した内容との偶然の一致である
という可能性をすべて否定することができないから。

Incomplete Novel

“This novel is fiction.”

Even if it is written in a novel like this,
the novel is not really fiction.

At least, we can't fully prove that the novel is fiction.

Because even if this novel is
a product of the imagination of the author,
there is no way to confirm all the facts that
the content expressed by it doesn't exist anywhere in reality.

Furthermore

“This novel is non-fiction.”

Even if written in a novel like this,
the novel is not necessarily non-fiction.

At least, we can't fully prove that the novel is non-fiction.

Because even if the novel uses real names and the content
is not different from a certain fact,
it cannot be denied all the possibilities that
it is a coincidence with the content imagined by the author.
