ブログとは、技術や知識を記事にし、オンライン上でいろんな人が閲覧できる。例えば海外生活の日々を日記のように書くブログや、英語の上達方法を紹介するブログがある。
また、たいていは閲覧者がコメントをできる機能が付いている。

「Blog」は「Web」と「Log」がくっついて「WebLog」という言葉が最初にでき、その後に「Blog」と呼ばれるようになった。
