自宅の画像をテレビ放送されることの危険性
前に、この記事を書いた。
「ポツンと一軒家」は、いい番組だと思うが、取材対象者の住まいやそこまでの道のり、地理などの情報をテレビで公開していいかどうかが気になっていた。
セキュリティコンサルタントが見ても、やはり危険だそうだ。
番組ではまず、日本地図の衛星写真で紹介する家をフォーカスする。その際、住所までは出さずとも、都道府県名を明示したうえで、どのエリアなのかがはっきりとわかるような見え方になっている。番組では衛星写真で自宅を俯瞰した写真は必須だ。
それによって、大谷選手の自宅と同じく、家の構造はおろか、車の有無や台数によって、おおよその家族構成も把握できる。さらには、住んでいる人や周辺の人にもインタビューをしているため、家族構成が確実にわかるだけではなく、住人がどのような仕事をしているのか、生活ぶりはどうなのかといったところまで把握できてしまう。
この番組に影響されたわけではないかもしれないが、人里離れた家屋を狙った犯罪も起きている。
４月末から５月にかけて、関東周辺の山間部で相次いだ連続強盗事件。まさに「ポツンと一軒家」ではないが、山あいで住宅が少ないエリアが狙われた。5月15日には、ベトナム人の男2名が栃木県の住宅で起こった強盗事件に関わったとして逮捕され、そのほかの事件についても関与を警察が調べている。
この番組を今後も続けるなら、住所が特定されないように演出を工夫したほうがいいだろう。
なお、先の記事では、野球の大谷選手の自宅の全容を報じるテレビ局があったことについて触れている。これは犯罪者に有益な情報を渡すことなので、はなはだ危険であり、テレビ局が訴えられても仕方がないそうだ。
ロサンゼルスはスポーツ選手やハリウッドスターなど、多くのセレブが住む街だ。現地では彼らや高級店を狙った強盗は数多く起きており、大谷選手ほどの高年俸の有名スポーツ選手の家が詳細に報じられてしまったことに恐ろしさを覚える。
１９８８年に公開された映画『ダイ・ハード』に登場した、テレビ局のレポーターを思い出す。
このアクション映画において、彼の強引な取材動画がテレビに流され、窮地の主人公の足をさらに引っ張るという場面があった。
テレビ局の事前確認で、放送されるのを危うく免れた例もあるかもしれない。だが、今後もそのようなチェックを潜り抜けて放送されるケースはあり得るのだろう。
The dangers of having aerial images of your home broadcast on television

While perhaps not inspired by the show, crimes have also been committed targeting isolated homes.
From the end of April to May, a series of robberies occurred in mountainous areas around the Kanto region. Although they were not exactly "isolated houses," the targets were mountainous areas with few houses. On May 15, two Vietnamese men were arrested in connection with a robbery that took place at a house in Tochigi Prefecture, and police are investigating their involvement in other cases.
If this program continues, they should devise a way to make the address harder to identify.
The previous article also mentioned that a TV station reported on the details of baseball player Ohtani's home. This is extremely dangerous, as it gives useful information to criminals, and it would be no surprise if the TV station were sued.
Los Angeles is home to many celebrities, including athletes and Hollywood stars. There have been many robberies targeting these people and luxury stores in the city, so it is horrifying that the home of a famous athlete with a high salary like Ohtani has been reported in detail.
This reminds me of the TV reporter who appeared in the 1988 movie "Die Hard." In this action movie, his aggressive interview footage was broadcast on TV, further hindering the protagonist in a difficult situation.
There may have been cases where the footage narrowly avoided being broadcast due to prior confirmation by the TV station. However, it is possible that in the future, there will be cases where the footage will slip through such checks and be broadcast.
