映画制作日記 #13「簡単に書きやがって(苦笑)」 | Production Notes #13 "You write so easily (chuckles)”

The lead and supporting actors gathered for the first reading. The scriptwriter, assistant director, producer, and music director were also present. This is the first reading of the script, where all the actors read their lines in the tone of their roles to get a general idea of the film. If you don't do this, you will end up in a lot of trouble. Since this was the first time, we checked the Awa dialect and the rhythm of the lines. We cut or changed some lines that seemed a little long when we read them. The staff complained to Mr. Miyoshi, the scriptwriter, about the words "full moon in the night sky" that we sometimes found in the script, saying, "You wrote it so easily. (laughs) The next reading will be about standing and movement. Let's see what happens. To be continued.

主演と助演の役者が集まって1回目の本読み。脚本、助監督、プロデューサー、音楽監督も同席。本読みとは台本を手にセリフを役の調子で読んで全員で映画の全体像を掴むこと。これをやらずに撮影に入ると痛い目に合う。今回は初回なので阿波弁のチェックやリズムの確認など。読んでみると少々長く感じるセリフをカットしたり変更したり。台本の中にたまに見つける「夜空に満月」という文字にスタッフから脚本の三好さんに「簡単に書きやがって」とクレーム(笑)。次の本読みは立ち位置や動きとともに読む。さてさてどうなることやら。つづく。
