seven the youth (ultraseven for adults) #27 operation cyborg

This story is a homage to Ultra Seven, Tsuburaya and dedicated to the Youth.

#27 operation cyborg

In order to contain SEVEN and the Youth 
Alien BORG  abducts six critically ill persons
with no one to depend on
and does different operations on them.
Cyborgs of 00 number 1 to 6 have
the same red eyes and hair 
and different kinds of abilities.
001 psyco [psychic power]
002 aero [human airplane]
003 clairvo [super senses]
004 weapo [human weapon]
005 macho [super strength]
006 flamo [human flamethrower]
And the alien operates on itself to be 
007 transfo [shape shifter].
Thus, the curtain of battle is about to rise,
the Youth members vs. seven cyborg warriors.

YURI was working overtime as usual.
Raindrops keep hitting on the window in front.
She is all alone in her office,
but feels someone being.
Looking over the room reflected in the window,
she finds nothing wrong there.
She senses the knob turn slowly
and the door open silently,  
because she has super senses.

Number 003 takes out a gun through the door
and tries to trigger.
The moment,
YURI has just got down to the floor
and pointed a gun at the red eyes.
She runs after the footsteps, 
which goes down emergency stairs
to the mortuary.
(Rat in trap.)
The room is filled with formalin odor and vapor.
There are a few bodies laid on the beds.
She sharpens her senses
and shoots at the rustling of cloths.
The target falls down behind the bed
and destroys the ceiling lights.
YURI closes her eyes and holds her breath,
waiting for the enemy to move.
Her hearing ability has risen to the limit.
003 can catch the sight of her even in the dark.
But seeing makes it careless.
The cyborg which moves first is shot through.
The red light in its eyes is winked out.
YURI wonders (What's it?)

FURUDA is driving to the hideout after work.
He takes a lonely back street for shortcut,
when a big man with red eyes appears in the way.
Giant 005 lifts up his yellow car and turns it over.
Before that he has just got out,
breaking his fall on the wet ground.
It begins raining, and as is often the case
asphalt pavement smells indescribable.
The enemy repeats brutal attack,
while FURUDA,
who used to be champion of mixed martial arts,
skillfully dodge it
so that he will not be hit or held
and accurately hits the weak points.
Number 005 has extraordinary power and speed,
which cannot beat him.
His effective blows
gradually makes the giant slow down.
The next moment his low kick makes it tilt,
his roundhouse heel kick hits its afterbrain.
The red light in its eyes is blown out.
FURUDA wonders (What's it?)

SOMA does shooting practice in outdoor range,
Self-Defence Force only,
between Saitama and TOKIO.
It is the time when nobody should be firing,
but somebody is approaching.
It has red eyes with nothing in his hands, 
but aims with its right fingers like a gun at him.
A bullet From its tip trains off to the left.
(Alien?)
Next, it gets right elbow up at him,
which is a launcher.
A guided missile follows him,
but he has a narrow escape.

004 has its whole body armed, with gun hands
and with elbows and knees of missile launcher.
One bullet and one missile show SOMA,
familiar with firearms, at least three things:
a bit blurring, slow relording, and large recoiling.
When he dodges one missile from left knee 
and another right knee approaches him, 
he shoots it down. 
(The last missile, the last chance.) 
Gunner 004 tries to fire the last one
with its left elbow open, at which moment
SOMA shoots three bullets into its launcher.
The cyborg has been blown up  
with red eyes afterimage faded out.
SOMA wonders (What's it?) 

AMABE is carrying out an experiment
in T Univ facility.
He finds it look like rain out of the window, 
when, suddenly the door begins burning.
Calmly without being moved, 
he shoots fire-extinguishing grenades at hand,
by which the fire stops soon.
There appear red eyes in the smoke.
The large mouth inhales enough oxygen
and exhales fire breath.
The room has so many books that it can burn well. AMABE shooting the grenades into the flame 
the thrower 006 one after another.
(The cyborg only has the ability of flame throwing.)
He stops on purpose in front of it.
Number 006 opens its mouth again to inhale air, 
when he shoots from close range into its mouth.
The next moment, the fire flows back inside,
making it a fireball with red eyeballs.
AMABE wonders (What's that?) 

KIRIYA is walking to the station after class.
It has already started raining.
He has new boots and a new umbrella.
All of a sudden, he is held from behind.
"Yah, what's happened?"
Then his body goes up and upper to the sky,
with an umbrella in his right hand.
Looking around, he can see SKY TREE TOWER,
which has just been seen far below him.
"Yah, what a wonderful world!"
Looking back, he can see red eyes staring at him.
The moment, he is thrown out into the air.
As is usually the case,
he is supposed to fall down, accelerating,
jnd depending on gravity and air resistance.
However, he is not now.
His jet boots he invented enable him
to float in the air like Mary Poppins.
Since he is not used to the new invention,
and to make matters worse, he has rain and wind,
he can barely keep the balance.
The hovering 002 finds his not falling down,  
being surprised and taking a ray-gun at him.
Sooner than the cyborg triggers,
the bullet fired from his umbrella gun hits 002. 
He has just understood all the conditions,
the location, the distance, and the resistance,
which makes his bullet accurately hit its forehead.
Moreover, before it begins to fall without buoyancy,
KIRIYA holds its body tight from behind
and falls slowly in case it strikes passengers.
Its eyes have lost their color. 
Professor KIRIYA wonder whether 
(my members are all right?)

While he is in the train,
the shower has stopped.
MOROBOSHI is jogging to the hideout
from Takao Station.
He passes Takaosan-guchi Station.
When it rains and the whole forest gets wet,
the smell and taste of air turns refreshing,
and you can feel much minus ion around there.

There is some snow over the place out of the sun.
(Someone behind.)
The next moment, his body floats to the air, 
and is slammed into the trunk of aged cider tree,
though he is not touched by anybody.
(Psychokinesis!)
Immediately, he teleports onto a branch of tree
and looks down around. 
ET radar gives no response.
(Where?)
Suddenly, his suppressed body will not move.
(Wait it.)
As soon as Number 001 shoots him.
he perceives the light of gun faster the light speed,
and teleports again near the cyborg.
Red glasses shoot down red eyes.

Then, KIRIYA appears.
He makes it a rule to walk to the hideout for health
when he has some time, MOROBOSHI hears.
"MOROBOSHI, are you OK?"
"I'm OK, Professor.  How about the others?"
"Also OK.  They've just got together."
When they are about to get into the hideout,
a bullet penetrates KIRIYA into the afterhead.
Again, he is shot or gunned dead to the ground.
The body, however, shifts back to alien BORG 007.

MOROBOSHI Looking back,
KIRIYA is about to shoot at his head.
And behind fake KIRIYA,
he finds real KIRIYA standing
with an umbrella at the shape shifter.
"Are you all right?  MOROBOSHI." 
"I'm OK, real Professor.
This is puppet master,
or cyborg operator, isn't it?"

All the Youth members get together.
"My new invention saved me in the sky." KIRIYA
"Without jet boots or umbrella gun,
you could've survived, Professor." FURUDA
"MOROBOSHI kun, 
how did you know first Professor is fake?" YURI
"Number 007 is not a cyborg but an alien,
so ET radar told me that." DAN
"Simple answer. 
How did you know that, Professor?" 
"Even simpler answer.  
some information about the cyborgs
Youth members gave to me 
just reminds me of comics about cyborgs." KIRIYA

Thus, the problems have been solved.
(Incomplete ability, power, and skill
could never beat the Youth members.)
KIRIYA feels more reliable at each of his members.

All the rain clouds clearing up,
up above Mt Takao,
there spreads beautiful starry sky, 
endless outer space to nowhere.
