This story is a homage to Ultra Seven, Tsuburaya and dedicated to the Youth.

#30 what's glory

The Earth is frequently targeted by INVADE aliens, so it has been decided that each nation will carry out its own simulation of defending itself, other nations around, or the whole world.  

In Japan, of course, Professor KIRIYA, T University, leads the simulation, at the same time, some industries or institutes give a presentation of weapons against aliens.

The simulation is carried out based on alien spaceships INVADE through Project Blue (#19), or the blue network barrier against aliens covering the whole planet, into the sky above TOKIO.

The selected developing industries and institutes present how fast and how accurately their inventions will be able to evade and intercept aliens' attack at the given spot.

The Youth makes a trial attack by HAWK 1, which KIRIYA and AMABE improved, and with a call saying aliens appeared, the jet FURUDA and SOMA ride takes off toward the targets for practice.

ET radar has caught the point of targets, when the new jet divides into two plane bodies, hurriedly destroying the dummies, and the twin jets combine into one original body.

The Youth members have made it successfully.

Moreover, Professor KISHI, the creator of SPACE X (#18), and Doctor ROPPONGI, the developer of superweapon R1 (#26), work together to join this simulation, as a team RX.

Both persons experienced each failure, because they mistakenly depended on evil aliens for their brains, which is true, but KIRIYA tried best for  them to be allowed to back again to studies

KIRIYA thought that if they were actually lost, they would be a great loss for the Earth, because they have extremely high levels of knowledge, intelligence, and technology, which he would miss. 

Their simulation starts.

The dummy spaceships come into Project Blue, which radar of SPACE X0 catches.  SPACE X0 is like a space platform remotely comtrolled, not so large as the former SPACE X island.

Superweapon R0, super-small but super-strong and super-fast missiles are fired and accurately smash all the targets, the effect result of which are pefectly good as cannot be asked for any more.

Exactly, they has restarted literally from 0.

Suddenly, furthermore, TSUKIJI Tamajiro, a senior from a department of science and engineering, K University, offered to take part in the simulation, which was accepted.

TSUKIJI is a leader of TAMA, the private defense force in Kansai, which he himself set up against the Youth, Kanto.  TAMA does not only stand for Tsukiji Attack Mechanism Association,.

But it is also the name of black cat he loves.

By making good use of radar he invented, TSUKIJI rocks on the target ships, and just clicks a mouse, stroking his cat with lapis lazuli eyes.  The moment, all the dummies get blown up to the air.

Everybody is amazed to see the scene, because of no idea what has happened.
"What kind of trick did he do?" AMABE
"Kind of transfer device, probably." KIRIYA

Alien PLATIC helps TSUKIJI, a young genius, invent a transfer machine.  He is no more interested in keeping the Earth peaceful, but just in aiming for his GLORY as a great scientist.

"Professor KIRIYA, I would appreciate it if we could make sure which is superior, you or me."
When TSUKIJI stands up, TAMA, the black cat, falls on the floor, sneaking away somewhere.

"What?" KIRIYA
"One-on-one battle, I mean." TSUKIJI

Alien's real spaceship appeared suddenly.
"Land on HAWK 1, and vehicle mode on."
KIRIYA has found it possible to transfer just in the air, so put HAWK 1 out of the range. 

Micro missiles R0 are fired at the ship from space X0, but the moment they are about to hit it, the ship disappears for a second.   
"MUDA, MUDA.  (useless in English.)"

The next moment, unmanned space X0 blows up.

"TSUKIJI kun, I know your team TAMA, the private defense force to prevent aliens from INVADE.  I'd wanted to talk about the Earth's defense with you, over drink some day." KIRIYA

"I'm not at all interested in its defense any more, because I've got enough POWER to rule the Earth.  Nothing else could be so valuable for me as this GLORY." TSUKIJI

As an elementary school student, he often was terribly bullied by three boys.  But one day he happened to pick up a knife, and showed it to them so that he would protect himself.

They got terrified to see the edge tool, and he had since come to behave as if he were a leader.  He just believes in POWER enthusiastically, even though it may be an old knife or a superweapon.

However, TSUKIJI himself has never hurt someone weak or kind, but got someone heartless or merciless to shut up.  When the other has a knife, he uses a stronger weapon against.  

He had made every effort to invent a lot of things for the world peace.  But the more effort he makes, the  emptier he has come to feel, because there is always something above.

Finally he has come to conclusion that he has only to invent the weapon so powerful that it could destroy the Earth.  If simply so, he might be able to give the world more peace and less war.

"You felt helpless, remorse, at a loss what to do."

MOROBOSHI teleports into the spaceship, but there is nothing but a black cat staring at him with lapis lazuli eyes.  ET radar has not responded to something so small, but it is alien PLATIC.

🐈‍⬛Wait.  I know you are strong, but would you mind me talking with you?🐈‍⬛

(Certainly not.)

🐈‍⬛I came to the Earth as COMRADE, not INVADE first, from the planet PLATIC.  That's because the blue planet was peaceful, I heard. 

And I was picked up and taken good care of by TSUKIJI, who continued in an effort to make the Earth peaceful.  So, I just helped him release his full potential.  His happiness made me happy.

But I came to ask myself if the residents really hoped the home's peace.  Peace is the most important.  Nothing is more important than life.  They should know that. 

Actually, it's a pity, there happens a lot of wars here and there.  Even though they live at the same home, some people injure or kill each other, and some are terrified with bullets and landmines.

Also, some parents injure or kill their own children, and sometimes vice versa, MYSTERIOUSLY.  Some children don't stop bullying others.  How different  are such cases from wars?  No difference!

There happened melt down at power station, but the truth has been hidden, which nobody knows.  Areas concerned would like to deal with a good amount of contaminated debris, which the areas around stubbornly refuse to accept, I don't know why.  If the areas around were those concerned, how would they feel?  It's natural disaster!

If most of the residents thought selfishly only about themselves, who could say GAMBARE NIPPON?  So shout hypocritcal televisions and politicians only.  We agreed, so I gave him my five.

The fuckin' Earth should be ruined.🐈‍⬛

"I see."
At the same time, but the different place, KIRIYA and MOROBOSHI begin to talk as if they synchronized.

"Truely, humans are intelligent, but not omniscent or omnipotent.  They are so incomplete that they repeatedly create and destroy themselves.  Even if anybody didn't destroy or saved it, the Earth might be ruined of itself one day.  Even if they continued to fight, humans might find themselves foolish one day.  They might learn from their mistakes.  Humans can learn, I believe."

KIRIYA continues.
"If the almighty gods had created the Earth, they might be making a bet on when the Earth will be ruined, over drink.  I would bet everything against gods.  TSUKIJI kun, which would you bet on?  To have humans decide the destiny of Earth, we should protect the planet from aliens.  What do you think about this mission?  It's a mission of GLORY, isn't it?"
Then tension has turned into relaxation inside him, and evil spirit has left him.

🐈‍⬛I cannot, because I've already been contaminated by the planet's environmental pollution.  I can no more do anything for him.  I leave him to you from now on.🐈‍⬛

The alien and its spaceship disappear somewhere.

"Professor, would you mind being an advisor of TAMA, K University, if you don't mind?"
KIRIYA just keeps smiling, not saying yes or no. 

His black cat comes back from nowhere and jumps up on his knees, when he has seated himself on the bench.  The cat glances at MOROBOSHI a second, the eyes of which do not have lapis lazuli.
