I own three apartments for rental purpose.
賃貸目的でアパートを3室所有しています
property：（名）不動産
彼女はかなりの不動産を所有している
She owns quite a lot of property.
彼には1億円の不動産がある
He has real property worth 100 million yen.
Suburban residential property has been gaining in value.
郊外の住宅地は値が上がり続けている
Property prices have shot up recently.
近ごろ不動産価格が急騰している
↑ shotはshootの過去分詞形
rent：（名）家賃
How much rent do you pay for the apartment？
マンションの家賃はいくら払っていますか
彼女は家賃を3か月分滞納している
She is three months behind in［overdue on, arrears with］her rent.
彼の家賃が2か月滞納になっている
His rent is two months overdue [behind, in arrears].
I’m two months behind with［on］the rent.
私は家賃を 2 か月分滞納している.
滞納した家賃は100万円にも上った
Back rent [OR Rent arrears] amounted to one million yen.
（◆back は「滞った」の意の形容詞）
expire：（自）期限が切れる
The lease expires［runs out］in December.
賃貸契約は12月に失効する［切れる］ 《◆expire は｟正式｠》
語源 ラテン語 ex-（外へ）＋spirare（呼吸する）：息を出す．spirit と同系
lease：（名）賃貸契約
We’ve taken out a lease on an office building.
私たちはオフィスビルの賃貸契約をした
rent：（他）～を借りる
We can rent the one-room apartment on a one-week lease.
1週間の賃貸契約でワンルームマンションを借りられる
rent (out)：～を貸し出す
We’re thinking of renting out the 3rd floor of this building.
このビルの3階を貸しフロアにしようと思っている
rent：（自）貸し出される
この家は月5万円で貸している(＝賃貸される)
This house rents at 50,000 yen a month.
このrentは能動受動態（学者のイェスペルセンの用語）で、形は能動態ですが意味は受け身です。
・rent this house at 50,000 yen a month（能動態）
「この家を月５万円で貸し出す」
・This house is rented at 50,000 yen a month.（受動態）
・This house rents at 50,000 yen a month.（能動受動態）
「この家は月５万円で貸し出されている。」
landroad：（名）大家
大家は一人暮らしのお年寄りには部屋を貸したがらない
Landlords do not like to rent (out) their rooms to elderly people living alone.
