Otacos Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is there a limit on the number of attendees (online ticket sales)?

Q: Can I purchase tickets with cash on the day of the event?

A: Yes, cash purchases are accepted on the day of the event. Normally, we sell tickets online, and by using that system, you will receive a 500 yen voucher. However, if you purchase tickets with cash, it will include access to the changing room/cloakroom, entry to the Figure Museum, and boarding the shuttle bus, but the 500 yen voucher will not be provided. Q: I want to photograph with my friends while cosplaying. Which ticket should I buy?

A:If you will be photographing with your friends while cosplaying, you do not need to register as a photographer with the purchase of a General Participation ticket.
If you are mainly taking photos and also want to enjoy cosplay (i.e., use the changing rooms and cloakroom), please purchase a Cosplayer/Cameraman ticket. If you are not using the changing rooms, etc., we recommend that you purchase a photographer registration ticket.
Photographer registration is set up to ensure the safety of our layers.
If you are asked to take pictures of other participants, or if we are not sure if you are a member of the same family, or if you appear to be taking pictures without registration or without permission, our staff may ask you to register as a photographer.

In the past, we have received some reports of people being photographed without registration or feeling uncomfortable, so we would appreciate your understanding so that everyone can enjoy the event in peace.

Q: I want to take photos while cosplaying with my family. Which ticket should I purchase?

A: If you want to take photos while cosplaying with your family, you can purchase a general admission ticket, and there is no need to register as a photographer. The photographer registration is in place to ensure that cosplayers can participate with peace of mind. If it appears that someone is taking photos without registration and without permission, or if it's unclear whether they are part of your group or not, our staff may approach them.

In the past, there have been instances where unauthorized photography caused discomfort, so we hope for your understanding in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event with peace of mind.
