色の持つ力 | The Power of Color

この季節、雨上がりの散歩は良いですね。
植物たちが水分を含んで普段よりも元気よく花を咲かせています。
調べてみると花の鮮やかな色の理由は、主に受粉を手伝ってくれる昆虫に対してのアピールという事でした。

ミツバチは特に黄色を好むとありました。
人間の世界でも黄色は注意を惹く場合に使われる色です。
工事現場の黄/黒のストライプや、子供のランドセルカバーや傘なども黄色が使われます。
黄色は白の次に明るい色で、光を連想する色だからでしょう。
僕も作品の中でポイントとなる部分に黄色を使う事が多いです。

色には連想されるイメージが何となくあります。
例えば白,黒は"無"だったり赤は"力"だったり。（人によって捉え方に差はあるかと思いますが）

作品で伝えたいメッセージに対して、これまでは形状やモチーフに頼っていた部分があります。
どうしても色は好きな色を使いたくなってしまいます。
これからの制作では、もう少し色の持つ力を意識してみよう！と考える散歩になりました。

It's nice to take a walk after the rain this time of year.
The plants are blooming more vigorously with the moisture.
I found out that the reason for the bright colors of the flowers is mainly to appeal to the insects that help pollinate them.

I found that bees especially like yellow.
Even in the human world, yellow is a color used to attract attention.
For example, yellow is used for the yellow/black stripes on construction sites, and for children's school bag covers and umbrellas.
Yellow is the second brightest color after white, probably because it is associated with light.
I often use yellow as a key color in my artwork.

Colors have a certain image associated with them.
For example, white and black are associated with "nothingness" and red with "power". (There are differences in the way people perceive them.)

In the past, I have relied on "shapes and motifs" to convey the message I wanted to that in my artwork.
So far, I had decided to use whatever colors I like.
However, it became a walk that made me think about being aware of the power of color in my future artwork.

Orecho=オレチョとは？

「オレチョ」は作家の自己を投影した表現者として作品に登場している。名前の由来は"己"を"超"えるより。

The character was born by symbolizing and fusing multiple series of artworks by Takao Honda.
"Orecho" is appeared in artworks as an expresser who projects himself.
The origin of the name comes from "I want always overcome myself". In Japanese mean Ore=myself, cho=overcome.
