【English ver.】An enchanting café experience near the Louvre! 3 best places you must-go

Hi there! It’s Olive!

I’m trying to rewrite my articles in English, so you can feel the differences between languages. Hope you enjoy!

Check also the original article in Japanese!

When people think of Paris, they tend to think of museums, palaces or bakeries, but there are many charming cafés!
In this article I, a Paris and sweets lover, recommend three  of the best cafés.

First: Angelina

Where: a few minutes walk from the Louvre Museum
Founded in 1903

The first one is Angelina, a highly recommended place, and one of the most famous cafés in Paris.
Founded in 1903, it operates in a historic Parisian building. The interior is beautifully decorated and has a chic atmosphere.

The menu I especially recommend you is Angelina's signature dessert, Mont Blanc. The combination of chestnut paste and whipped cream is exquisite, beautiful to look at, and the flavor that spreads in your mouth is exquisite! 😍Although it you can see them in Japan's department stores, eating it in Paris is totally different!
I recommend you to have it with bitter black coffee😍Don't eat it with cream-filled cocoa even if it looks so attractive. You will regret it soon 😂

Second :Café de la Paix

Where: Near the Opera House
Founded in 1862

Next, we would like to recommend Café de la Paix, located near the Opera House. It's a historic café founded in 1862 that has become an icon of Paris. It is characterized by its gorgeous interior and beautiful decorations, and has a luxurious atmosphere.

This café has a wide selection of sweets on the menu, and I especially recommend the famous "crème brûlée". The smooth custard cream exquisitely combined with caramelized caramel on top is so delicious!
There is also a terrace outside the café, which is recommended for spending a relaxing time while enjoying the view of the Parisian cityscape.

Third:Ladurée

Where: Near the Champs Elysées
Founded in 1862

Last but not least is Ladurée, located near the Champs-Elysées. The first floor is the store and the second floor is the café. The interior is elegant and pretty, with pink decorations. The tables and tableware are heavy and heavy, and eating macarons here will make you feel like an aristocrat 😆

Ladurée is famous for its macarons. The menu features a variety of macarons in different flavors, which are beautiful to look at and have a soft and fluffy texture and flavor that spreads in the mouth. You can also enjoy other snacks such as French toast and croissants. I recommend you the oversized macarons! But beware of indigestion 😂

How was it?
There are many charming cafes around the Louvre, but Angelina, Café de la Paix, and Ladurée in particular are must-visits for sweets lovers. Please take a look at these cafes as a reference for your café tour!

Bye!👋
