を迎え、新体制で初の日本公演となる。本インタビューでは久々の来日を前に、そんな彼らのここ数年の近況や、日本での思い出、5月にリリース予定の再録アルバム『Morning View XXIII』についてなど、フロントマンのBrandon Boydに詳しく語ってもらった。

－前回インタビューさせていただいたのは、アルバムとしては最新作の『8』をリリースした2017年でした（※2017年4月号掲載）。その際のインタビューで宣言していた通り、『Trust Fall (Side A)』（2015年リリースのEP）の続編にあたるEP『Trust Fall (Side B)』を2020年にリリースしていますね。こちらのリリースまではかなり時間がかかったようですが、結果的にかなり満足のいく作品になったのではないでしょうか。

INCUBUS is preparing for their first performance in Japan in about 6 years, "INCUBUS ASIA TOUR 2024", in May. This time, bassist Ben Kenney, who has supported their unique groove sound for many years, was forced to leave due to illness, and a new member, Nicole Row, who was a live member of PANIC! This will be their first performance in Japan. In this interview, ahead of their first visit to Japan, we spoke with frontman Brandon Boyd about what they've been up to in the past few years, their memories in Japan, and their re-recorded album "Morning View XXIII" scheduled to be released in May. I asked him to tell me.

-The last time we interviewed you was in 2017, when you released your latest album “8” (*published in the April 2017 issue). As you declared in the interview, you released the EP "Trust Fall (Side B)" in 2020, which is the sequel to "Trust Fall (Side A)" (an EP released in 2015). It seems that it took quite a while to release this, but I think it turned out to be a very satisfying work in the end.
