🌹🌹🌹If you don't know the history of metal, you'll probably wonder, ``What is the Bay Area anyway?'' If you do, you'll probably say, ``It's all about the Bay Area!''

While addressing these questions, we will introduce the purpose and highlights of the project in several parts.


In the history of heavy metal, the Bay Area refers to the sacred place of the thrash metal movement that arose in the Bay Area of ​​northern California and San Francisco in the United States.

The bands that were active in this area in the 1980s are collectively known as Bay Area Thrash Metal.

メタルの歴史をご存知ない方には「そもそもベイエリアってなに？」という感じでしょうし、ご存知だったら「ぜんぜんベイエリアちゃうやんけ！」とツッコミが入るところでしょう。

そうした疑問を解消しつつ、企画の趣旨や見どころについて何回かに分けてご紹介していきます。


ヘヴィメタルの歴史において、ベイエリアとはアメリカ・カリフォルニア州北部・サンフランシスコの湾岸地域＝ベイエリアで勃興したスラッシュメタルムーヴメントの聖地を指します。

80年代にこの土地を拠点に活躍したバンドたちを総括してベイエリア・スラッシュメタルというくくりになっています。🌹🌹🌹
