File.8 リカちゃん-Licca doll

私は「リカちゃん」推しだ。自分自身の子供の頃からの定番人形であり、子供が3人いる我が家には今もたくさんのリカちゃんがあって男子達も大好き。加えてリカちゃんの会社が地元にあるため、地元ではリカちゃんマンホールやリカちゃんバスが走っていて区をあげて「リカちゃん」を推している。

けれど、世界的に有名なバービー人形と比べて、海外での認知度は低いようで欧米ではほとんど知られていないらしい。
バービー人形といえば最近の大ヒット映画「Barbie」も記憶に新しいけれど、ブロンド碧眼8頭身のモデルのバービーちゃんはビューティーすぎてイマイチ感情移入できず。。

リカちゃんの設定は11歳（何と小学生！）フランス人とのmixという点はセレブ感あるけれど、可愛い顔立ちで等身も異常に良くはなくて、大分親しみやすい、と思うのだけれど、海外展開できていないのは、女の子の可愛さへの感覚が違うのかなあ・・。

個人的にはLiccaちゃんとバービーちゃんが同じ世界線で（加えて他の国の代表的なファッションドールも）子供たちが遊べるようになったら良いなあと思っている。

I am a fan of 'Licca-chan.' She has been a classic doll since my childhood, and even now, my home is filled with many Licca-chan dolls. Additionally, since the company producing Licca-chan is located in my hometown, we have Licca-chan manhole covers and buses adorned with Licca-chan graphics. The local community actively promotes and supports 'Licca-chan.

However, it seems that Licca-chan has lower recognition internationally compared to the globally famous Barbie doll, and she is hardly known in Western countries. While the recent blockbuster movie 'Barbie' is still fresh in memory, the Barbie doll, with her blonde hair, blue eyes, and supermodel proportions, is a bit too glamorous, making it challenging to relate. On the other hand, Licca-chan, portrayed as an 11-year-old (elementary school age!), a mix of French heritage, exudes a sense of sophistication. Despite not having an overly idealized appearance, Licca-chan's approachable charm makes her quite endearing. I wonder if the lack of overseas success is attributed to a difference in the perception of cuteness among girls...
