わたしにとって、2020年は「激動の年」でした。

As for me, 2020 was a "turbulent year."

この年を忘れないため、わたしの記憶に残すため、2020年に起こったニュースを自由気ままに投稿していきます。

In order not to forget this year and to keep it in my memory, I will freely post the news that happened in 2020.

高輪ゲートウェイ駅が開業

高輪ゲートウェイ駅は3月14日に開業され、東京の山手線と京浜東北線に新たに加わり、品川地区の大部分を世界的な輸送とビジネスのハブに変えるという数十年にわたるプロジェクトの大きな節目となりました。

Takanawa Gateway Station opened its doors to the public March 14 , becoming the latest addition to Tokyo's Yamanote and Keihin Tohoku lines and marking a major milestone in a decadeslong project to transform a large part of the Shinagawa district into a global transportaion and business hub .

品川駅と田町駅の間の港区にある新駅は、京浜東北線で47番目、山手線で30番目の駅です。

The new station , located in Minato Ward between Shinagawa and Tamachi , is the 47th station to open on the Keihin Tohoku Line and the 30th on the Tamanote Line .

東日本旅客鉄道は当初、1日23,000人の乗客を予想しており、2024年までには123,000人まで増加すると予想しています。

East Japan Railway Co. initially expects 23,000 daily passengers , with that figure growing to 123,000 br 2024 .
