２．１．２　聞け、さらば与えられん　　

　偉大な先人のお話を直接又は間接的に聴くことは前述のように大変勉強になります。また、同じレベルの方との交流によっても色々と耳学問が可能です。

　私はこれまでに、県レベルで２つの異業種交流グループ、市レベルで一つの異業種交流グループに所属しています。

　それらは不定期な会合ですが、いずれのグループも一年に５、６回の会合を持ち、お互いの情報や問題点、課題を話し、そして聞き合います。

　物づくりを異業種交流の目的にしているグループもあります。彼らはグループのメンンバーが持っている技術、技能、知識、情報などの資源を何か共通の新しい物作りに生かしています。異業種交流グループの数とその新商品開発成功例数から判断して異業種交流グループによるもの作りは決して容易なことでありません。

物作りには強力なリーダーシップや思い入れが必要です。それにはリスクもいとわない覚悟が必要です。多くの意見の平均値は平凡な内容になります。多くの人による責任は無責任になることが多いのです。

　無償で意見やアイデアを聞くことができる点に異業種交流の意味と意義があります。その中には無責任な意見やアイデアもありますが、いくつかは結構特異で良い参考意見になります。

最終的にはいただいた意見やアイデアに感謝し、一社単独でその意見やアイデアを取捨選択し、リスクや責任も一社で負うという形が物づくりとしては最善の形です。このことは後の項でも述べさせていただきます。

　2.1.2 Listen, and it shall be given to you.

Listening to the great seniors directly or indirectly is a great learning experience as mentioned above. A lot of learning by ear is also possible by interacting with people of the same level.

Up to now, I have belonged to two different cross-industrial associations at the prefecture level and one cross-industrial exchange group at the city level.

　Each group has 5 or 6 meetings a year irregularly to exchange information and to talk about problems and various issues with each other and to listen to each other.

　Some groups have the purpose of making new things cross-industrially. They are making use of the members’ resources, skills, knowledge, information and others to create something in common. Judging from the number of cross-industry exchange groups and the number of successful new product development cases, manufacturing by cross-industry exchange groups is by no means easy.

Making things requires strong leadership and commitment. To do so, we must be prepared to take risks. The average of many opinions is mediocre. The responsibility by many people is often irresponsible.

　The fact that you can listen to opinions and ideas free of charge has the meaning and significance of cross-industrial exchanges. Some of them are irresponsible opinions or ideas, but some are quite unique and good as reference.

Ultimately, the best way to make things is to appreciate the opinions and ideas we receive, to select the opinions and ideas by one company and to take the risk and responsibility by one company. I will talk about this in a later section.
