それは、桐のもつ調湿性と防虫効果がお米を美味しく保ちます！

米びつの特徴　(Characteristics of rice stocker)

①内容物を確認しやすいように、蓋を透明度の高いアクリルと四方桟という
　桐箱伝統の技術を組み合わせたものを独自に開発！

四方桟蓋は気密性がよく、また倒しても蓋が外れにくいという特徴があります。
裏の桟部分に溝を二箇所つくり、本体の淵に引っ掛けておくことができます。

お手入れ方法 (How to care)

木は製品になったあとも呼吸し生き続けています。
木にもたくさん種類があって、それぞれに得意、不得意な部分があり違います。
なので当然お手入れ方法も変わってきます。
こちらでは桐の米びつのお手入れ方法をご紹介します。ぜひご参考にされてください。

①お米の入れ替え時のお手入れ【基本】  ( Care when replacing rice [Basic])

お米のカスが残るのを防ぐためにお米の継ぎ足しはされず食べきってから
新しいお米を入れてください。　
　↓
空の状態でひっくり返して底をトントンと軽くたたくとある程度残りカスが
落ちます。
　↓
そのあと乾いた布で乾拭きをしていただくと細かいカスを拭き取れるので
普段はこれでOKです。

②季節の変わり目のお手入れ  (Care for the changing seasons)

①の【基本】のお手入れをされた後に中身が空の状態のまま風通しの良い日陰で半日ほど陰干しをされてください。
　↓
そうすると桐が呼吸しそれまでに吸った湿気を一度放出することができます。
　↓
湿気が溜まりすぎるとうまく調湿できずお米にとって良い環境ではなくなってしまいます。

米びつの置き場所もできればシンクの下の水道近くなど湿気がたまる場所は
避けていただいた方がより効果を感じられると思います。

注意すること (Caution)

・調湿効果で乾物の保存に良い桐ですが、湿度と一緒に匂いも吸収するため中身の
　匂いが桐に移りやすいです。
・粉ものを直に入れると、木目につまり調湿の妨げになる場合がございますので
　紙袋等に入れたまま保管することを推奨します。
・汗や水に桐が反応して変色する場合がございます。
　水拭きなども変色の原因になりますのでされないようご注意ください。
・風通しがよく十分な設置面積のある安定の良い場所に置き、湿度が高い場所や
　エアコンの風が直接当たる場所は避けていただくことをおすすめします。

・ Paulownia is good for storing dry matter due to its humidity control effect, 　but it absorbs odors as well as humidity, so the contents

・ If you put powder directly into the wood, it may clog the wood and
　interfere with humidity control.
