羽田空港のターミナル３から出国し、フィリピンでトランジットしてドバイに行きます。
羽田での手荷物の預け入れと保安検査が混雑しており、30分以上を要しました。
ANA LOUNGEの営業時間が24時くらいまでだったこともあり、滞在時間は10分程度でした。
フィリピン航空を利用しました。
冷房が強く機内は寒いので注意が必要です。
機内食は普通でした。
もみじ饅頭はあんこが少なく、美味しくなかったです。
トランジット
ニノイ・アキノ国際空港のターミナル１に到着し、同じターミナル１からドバイに出発します。
ただ、出発まで8時間くらいあったため、入国を試みました。
しかし、以下3点の理由から街に行かない方が良いと言われ、空港に留まりました (実際かなり暇だったので、粘って街の雰囲気だけでも感じればよかったです)。
・早朝であったこと
・街が動くのは10時頃から？
・非常に渋滞すること
空港で待つことになったため、マブハイ ラウンジに行きました。
残念なことに、フィリピン→日本の時しかラウンジは利用できないと言われてしまい、ロビーで待つことになりました。
ロビーで待つのですが、とにかく寒いです。
比較的暖かかったのはマブハイ ラウンジの下の廊下です。
それ以外は極寒のため何時間もいるのは厳しいと思います。
朝食はLittle Flour Caféに行きました。
人気店Wildflourの姉妹店です。
空港ということもあり、価格は少し高めでした。
Arroz caldo (東南アジア テイストのお粥) が美味しかったです。
料理2品とコーヒー2杯で、合計1,337.14 PHP (約3,600円)でした。
・French Omelette → 450 PHP (約1,200円)
・Arroz caldo → 420 PHP (約1,100円)
・Americano → 195 PHP (約500円)
・Cappuccino → 215 PHP (約600円)
フィリピンからドバイの機内も非常に寒かったです。
機内食は普通でした (パンが美味しかった)。
UAE入国
夕方、ドバイ国際空港のターミナル1に到着しました。
入国審査はオンラインでも可能なようですが、エラーが表示されてしまいました。
エラーであることしか表示されないため、改善もできず、結局は有人窓口で入国しました。
入国時に24時間1GBを利用できるSIMカードを貰いました。
SIMを抜き差しするピンも入っていましたので、問題なく利用できました。
ノルカードのシルバーを購入してホテルまで移動しました。
どのノルカードを買えば良いかは以下の記事を参考にしてください。
今回、滞在したホテルはSwissôtel Al Ghurairです。
大型スーパの上に立地しており、広くて綺麗で良いホテルでした。
ただし、シャワーの温度調整は難しく、水圧は激弱でした。
ブルジュハリファ
世界一高い建造物のブルジュハリファ (829.8m) に行きました。
ブルジュはアラビア語でタワーを表します。
ハリファは財政支援をした当時のアブダビ首長の名前です。
UAEの石油の大半はアブダビで生産しています。
あわせて世界一の噴水ドバイファンテン (高さ150m、長さ275m) も見ることができました。
シンガポールのマリーナ ベイ サンズの噴水は期待外れでしたが、こちらは迫力がすごく、楽しかったです。
噴水は無料で楽しむことができ、18:00 - 23:00の30分ごとに行われるので、おすすめです。
噴水も終わったのでTime Out Market Dubaiに夕飯を探しに行きました。
席を確保して、お店に料理を注文に行くフードコートのシステムです。
ここで誤算です。
中東系のお店が全くありませんでした。
過去はレバノン料理があったと思われますが、今はまったくありませんでした。
せっかくドバイまで来たので、別のお店に行くことにしました。
結局、入ったのは同じビル内にあるSiraj Restaurantです。
価格は少し高かったですが、味も雰囲気も良かったです。
料理2品と水で合計119.47 AED (約5,000円) でした。
パンはサービスでしたが、美味しかったです。
・Hummus → 28.80 AED (約1,200円)
・Meat Margooga → 76.80 AED (約3,200円)
・Still Water Small → 13.87 AED (約600円)
ドバイモールで観光や買い物をしようと思いましたが、時間がなくなってしまいました。
3日目に改めて行きます。
2日目
ホテルの朝食
6:30から朝食が開始していたので、一番に行きました。
朝食の代金は2人で3,500円くらいだったので、メニューの豊富さや美味しさ、ドバイの物価を考えると安く感じました。
ビュッフェ形式でした。
デザート サファリ
少し不満な点もありましたが、かなり満足なツアーでした。
Expediaで予約したツアーに朝一で参加します。
前日にツアー参加確認の電話がありました。
メールアドレスもWhatsAppも教えていたのに、国際電話をかけてきました。
1分の電話で280円も請求されてしまいました。
WhatsAppで電話かけろよ・・・
ガイドさんは07:15にホテル ピックアップの予定でしたが、07:03にガイドから早く来いとせかされました。
無事に車に乗り込み、40分くらいかけて砂漠に行きます。
今回はポルトガル人の家族と一緒でした。
2024年4月16日に発生した歴史的な大雨の影響で、砂漠の砂が硬いと言っていました。
実際はサラサラでしたが、本物の砂漠は初めてのため、違いはわかりませんでした。
ラクダも可愛かったです。
サンドボードはソリのように砂の丘を降りました。
記録的な豪雨に見舞われたアラブ首長国連邦。過去75年間で最大の降水量を記録し、高速道路や空港が冠水した姿は世界を驚かせた
休憩所では、デーツやコーヒ、紅茶を無料ビュッフェ形式で楽しむことができました。
ツアーが終了すると、ホテルまで送ってくれました。
昼食はスーパーCarrefourのデリを利用し、ホテルで食べました。
ココナッツは約250円で非常に美味しくコスパ最強でした。
その他も美味しく、全部で33.87 AED (約1,400円) でした。

・Fish Fillet → 9.16 AED (約400円)
・Biryani Chicken → 7.11 AED (約300円)
・Fig → 6.95 AED (約300円)

オールド ドバイ
人気のカフェArabian Tea House Restaurant & Cafeへ、おやつを食べに行きました。
飲み物の量が多いので、注文は1つで良かったです。
Leqaimat は見た目に反して甘さが控えめで美味しかったです。
3品の合計で78 AED (約3,300円) でした。
・Special Zuhurat Tea → 23 AED (約1,000円)
・Fresh Tamarind → 25 AED (約1,000円)
・Leqaimat → 30 AED (約1,300円)
オールド ドバイを散策しつつ、次にCoffee Museumへ行きました。
様々なコーヒーミルや歴史を学ぶことができます。
入場料の10 AED (約400円) を支払うことで、アラビア コーヒーとデーツが貰えます。
水上バスに乗って対岸に渡りました。
料金は2 AED (約80円) のため、おすすめです。
ゴールドスークに向かいました。
金ピカで凄そうでしたが、庶民の私には良さがわかりませんでした。
近くのスパイスークは客引きが強く疲れました。
男性は腕を掴まれるので、強い心を持って行きましょう。
唯一、購入したのは1つ10 AED (約400円) のラクダの置物です。
The Beach
ドバイは海も綺麗らしいということで、The Beachへ行きました。
しかし、夜はビーチ自体が閉鎖されており、波打ち際まで行けませんでした。
世界最大の観覧車ドバイアイを見ただけでした。
メトロの駅からも遠かったので、歩きやすい靴で行くことをおすすめします。
夕食はBait Maryamに行きました。
ミシュランのビブグルマンにも選出されており、美味しかったです。
駅からも近く合計90 AED (約3,800円) とコスパも良いです。
・Alayet Bandoura → 33 AED (約1,400円)
・Lahme Bel Ajeen → 32 AED (約1,400円)
・Minted Lemonade → 25 AED (約1,000円)
3日目
スーク マディナ ジュメイラ
メトロとバスを乗り継いでスーク マディナ ジュメイラに行きました。
Mashreq Metro Stationは通過していまい、停車したDubai Internet City Metro Stationからバスで行きました。
休日やラッシュアワーの場合、快速のような運行になるため注意が必要です。
スークといっても非常に落ち着いており、客引きも少なかったです。
ほとんどのお土産はここで購入しました。
Jomaraは、高級デーツでお馴染みのBateelがスーパー用に出したブランドです。
ラクダ石鹸はまとめ買いで安くなるなど、ありがたかったです。
免税もできるようです。
・Jomara Date Chocolate → 29 AED (約1,200円)
・Camel Milk Soap 4-pack → 90 AED (約3,800円)
・Camel Milk Soap → 32 AED (約1,300円)
昼食はAl Makan Restaurantに行きました。
胃も疲れてきたので、スープにパンをつけて食べるのが、非常に美味しく感じました。
全部で140 AED (約6,000円) でした。

ドバイモール
日本人たるもの、有名どころのお土産を購入しなければなりません。
・Bateel → 50.5 AED (約2,100円)
・Patchi → 75 AED (約3,000円)
Bateelは箱に入った商品は高級ですが、1つずつ選べば価格を抑えられるかもしれません。
また、試食もできます。
ドバイモール内にはCafé Bateelもありますが、そちらにはデーツはないので注意が必要です。
Patchiはレジが混雑しているので、なるべくスタッフに声を掛け、案内をしてもらうのが良いでしょう。
帰りの電車は非常に混雑しており、東京レベルでした。
スーパーでお土産の購入
Carrefourでお土産を購入しました。
人に配れるよう、基本的には個包装のものしか購入していません。
・Chocodate 100g → 10.80 AED (約450円)
・Nescafe 20 set (cardamom) → 26.25 AED (約1,100円)
・Nescafe (saffron) → 1.45 AED (約60円)
・Organic Date Syrup → 34.95 AED (約1,500円)

出国
ドバイ国際空港ターミナル1から出発します。
帰りもフィリピン航空を利用し、フィリピンでトランジットして成田から帰国します。
出国審査も完了し免税店を眺めました。
すると、レアポケモンとも揶揄されるクレオパトラ石鹸を見付けましたので、購入しました。
お土産ショップに併設された薬局のような場所 (Foodplus) で見つけました。
・Cleopatra Soap → 43.5 AED (約1,800円)
空港にはBateelやラクダ石鹸もあったので、忙しい人は空港で買うのも良いと思います。価格もあまり変わらなかった印象です。
お土産も買えたのでLufthansaのラウンジで休もうと思いましたが、まさかの営業時間外でした。
夜しかやってなかったようで、事前にもっと調べておけば良かったです。
ドバイの宝くじを購入する予定でしたが、忘れていました。
1口278 USドルで購入でき、0.05%の確率で100万 USドルが当たります。
日本の宝くじで1億円を当てるには0.000002%の確率のため、当たりやすいことで有名です。
しかし、日本の宝くじの当選金は非課税ですが、ドバイの宝くじの当選金には税金 (雑所得) がかかります。
手取りを考えると、日本もドバイも期待値はトントンです。
また、オンラインでも購入可能ですが、日本から買うと日本の刑法に引っかかり犯罪です。
フィリピン航空を利用したため、フィリピン人が多かったと思います。
多くの人が大きい手荷物を持ち込む習性があるようで、飛行機の上の棚は占有されます。
この習性が影響しているのか、搭乗のグループ番号順は意味をなさず、搭乗開始とともに長蛇の列が形成されます。
列に並ぶのも面倒なため、椅子に座って列が無くなるのを待ちました。
同じ考えの人もいて、ほとんど日本人らしき人でした。
フィリピン人は我先に並び、やる気のない日本人は後から搭乗する人が多かった印象です。
そして、帰りのフィリピン航空も寒いです。
機内食はドライ パインが美味しかったです。
4日目
トランジット
ニノイ・アキノ国際空港のターミナル１に到着しました。
今回は6時間のトランジットですが、相変わらず寒いです。
1日目には入れなかったMabuhayラウンジに行きました。
中は広く、4つのエリアとシャワールームに別れていました。
4つのエリアの中の1つは、ビュッフェエリアでした。
その他はソファーなど、くつろげる空間でした。
バーも併設されていました。
アルコールは薄かったですが、美味しかったです。

帰国
夜20時に成田空港ターミナル2に到着しました。
京成スカイライナーで都内まで戻りましたが、日本人でもどの改札に入るか迷いました。
外国人には難しいのではないかと感じました。
帰国して2,3日後からお腹を下しました。
体調は問題ないのですが、下痢が1週間以上は続きました。
おそらくフィリピンのハロハロの氷だろうと思っています。

This trip departed from Terminal 3 at Haneda Airport, with transit from the Philippines to Dubai.
Baggage check-in and security check at Haneda were crowded and took more than 30 minutes.
We stayed at the ANA LOUNGE lasted about 10 minutes because the ANA LOUNGE was open until about 24:00.
We flew with Philippine Airlines.
The air conditioning is very strong and the cabin is cold.
The in-flight meal was normal.
The Momiji manju buns were not tasty because there was not enough anko.
Transit
We arrived at Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport and departed for Dubai from the same Terminal 1.
However, I stayed at the airport because the staff told us not to go to the city for the following three reasons:
- It was early in the morning
- The city starts to move around 10:00 a.m
- The traffic will be very congested
We regretted that we should have negotiated further to at least get a feel for the city, as we were actually quite bored.
We had to wait at the airport, so we went to the Mabuhay Lounge.
Unfortunately, the staff told us that the lounge is only available when you are in the Philippines to Japan.
We wait in the lobby, but it is cold anyway.
The only place that was relatively warm was the hallway under the Mabuhay Lounge.
Other places are extremely cold and it would be tough to stay there for hours.
For breakfast, we went to Little Flour Café.
It is a sister restaurant of the popular Wildflour.
The price was a bit expensive because of the airport location.
Arroz caldo (Southeast Asian-style porridge) was delicious. The total price for 2 dishes and 2 cups of coffee was PHP 1,337.14 (about 3,600 JPY).
- French Omelette → 450 PHP (about 1,200 JPY)
- Arroz caldo → 420 PHP (about 1,100 JPY)
- Americano → 195 PHP (about 500 JPY)
- Cappuccino → 215 PHP (about 600 JPY)
The flight from the Philippines to Dubai was also very cold.
The food on board was normal (bread was good).
Entering UAE
We arrived at Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport in the evening.
It seems that immigration can be done online, but an error message was displayed.
Since it only showed that it was an error, we could not remedy the situation and ended up entering the country at the manned counter.
we received a SIM card with 1GB for 24 hours at the time of entry.
It also included a pin to insert and remove the SIM, so we were able to use it without any problems.
We purchased a silver Norcard and went to the hotel.

The hotel we stayed at this time was Swissôtel Al Ghurair.
It is located above a supermarket and is a nice, spacious, and clean hotel.
However, it was difficult to adjust the temperature of the shower and the water pressure was very weak.
Burj Khalīfa
We went to the Burj Khalifa (829.8m), the tallest structure in the world.
Burj means tower in Arabic.
Khalifa is the name of the then Emir of Abu Dhabi who provided financial support.
Most of the UAE's petroleum is produced in Abu Dhabi.
We also saw the world's largest fountain, Dubai Fanten (150 meters high and 275 meters long).
The fountain at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore was disappointing, but this one was very powerful and fun.
The fountains are free to enjoy and are performed every 30 minutes from 8 pm to 11 pm.
After the fountain, we went to Time Out Market Dubai to look for dinner.
It is a food court system where you reserve your seat and order your food from a restaurant.
Here is where I miscalculated.
There were no Middle Eastern restaurants at all.
In the past, there was Lebanese food, but now there is none at all.
Since we had come to Dubai, we decided to go to another restaurant.
Finally, we went to Siraj Restaurant, which is located in the same building.
The prices were a little high, but the taste and atmosphere were good.
The total cost was 119.47 AED (about 5,000 JPY) for 2 dishes and water.
The bread was free, but it was delicious.

We had planned to go sightseeing and shopping at the Dubai Mall, but we ran out of time and decided to skip it.
We will go again on Day 3.
Day 2
Breakfast in the hotel
Breakfast started at 6:30, so we went that time.
The cost of the breakfast was about 3,500 JPY for two people, which seemed cheap considering the variety of the menu, the delicious food, and the prices in Dubai.
It was buffet style.
Desert safari
We were quite happy with the tour, although we were a little dissatisfied with a few things.
We booked the tour through Expedia.
We received a call the day before to confirm our participation in the tour.
The guide knew our email address and WhatsApp but called us internationally.
We were charged 280 JPY for a one-minute call.
Call us on WhatsApp...
The guide was supposed to pick us up at the hotel at 07:15, but at 07:03, the guide told us to come early.
The car driven by the guide took about 40 minutes to reach the desert, with a Portuguese family.
Our guide told us that the desert sand was hard due to the historic rainfall that occurred on April 16, 2024.
In fact, it was smooth, but since it was my first time in a real desert, I could not tell the difference.
The camels were cute.
Sandboarding went down a hill of sand like a sled.
The United Arab Emirates was hit by record-breaking rainfall.
The country recorded its heaviest rainfall in 75 years, and the sight of flooded highways and airports stunned the world.
At the rest stop, we enjoyed a free buffet of dates, coffee, and tea.
After the tour, the guide dropped us off at out hotel.
Lunch was purchased at a deli in the Carrefour supermarket and eaten at the hotel.
The coconut was very tasty and had the best value for money at about 250 JPY.
The rest of the food was also delicious and the total cost was 33.87 AED (about 1,400 JPY).

Old Dubai
We went to the popular Arabian Tea House Restaurant & Cafe for a snack.
The drinks were large, so you should only have to order one.
The Leqaimat was not as sweet as it looked and was very tasty.
The total price for the three items was 78 AED (about 3,300 JPY).
- Special Zuhurat Tea → 23 AED (about 1,000 JPY)
- Fresh Tamarind → 25 AED (about 1,000 JPY)
- Leqaimat → 30 AED (about 1,300 JPY)
While walking around Old Dubai, we next went to the Coffee Museum.
You can learn about the various coffee mills and their history.
For an admission fee of 10 AED (about 400 JPY), you can get Arabic coffee and dates.
We took a water bus across to the other side of the river.
The fare is 2 AED (about 80 JPY) and is highly recommended.
Next is the introduction of the Gold Souk.
It looked gold and awesome, but we are not an aristocrat and did not understand the goodness of it.
The touts at the nearby Spice Souk were so strong that I got tired.
Men should have a strong heart because they will grab you by the arm.
The only thing we bought was a cute camel replica for 10 AED (about 400 JPY) each.
The Beach
We heard that Dubai has beautiful beaches, so We went to The Beach.
However, the beach was closed at night, so we could not go to the beach.
We only saw the Dubai Eye, the world's largest Ferris wheel.
It was far from the metro station, so We recommend you go there with comfortable walking shoes.
For dinner, we went to Bait Maryam.
It is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, and the food was delicious.
The restaurant is close to the station and is very reasonable at only 90 AED (about 3,800 JPY).

Day 3
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
We took the Metro and a bus to Souk Madina Jumeirah.
Mashreq Metro Station was not passed and we took a bus from Dubai Internet City Metro Station where train stopped.
Note that on holidays and during rush hour, the buses operate like a rapid train.
Even though it is called a souk, it is very calm and there were few touts.
We bought most of my souvenirs here.
Jomara is a brand for supermarkets by Bateel, a well-known brand of high-end dates.
The camel soap was cheaper if you buy in bulk.
It seems that duty-free is also available.

- Camel Milk Soap 4-pack → 90 AED (about 3,800 JPY)
- Camel Milk Soap → 32 AED (about 1,300 JPY)
For lunch, we went to Al Makan Restaurant.
Pur stomach was tired, so we enjoyed the soup with bread very much.
The total cost was 140 AED (about 6,000 JPY).

As a Japanese, we must buy famous souvenirs.

- Patchi → 75 AED (about 3,000 JPY)
Bateel's boxed items are upscale, but you may be able to keep the price down if you choose one at a time.
You can also sample the products.
There is also a Café Bateel in the Dubai Mall, but note that there are no dates there.
Patchi is a crowded cashier, so it is best to speak to a staff member and ask for directions if at all possible.
The train was very crowded and had the same feeling as in Tokyo.
Purchase souvenirs at supermarkets
We bought souvenirs at Carrefour.
Basically, I bought only individually wrapped items so that we could distribute them to others.

Departure
Departure from Dubai International Airport Terminal 1.
The return trip was also via Philippine Airlines, with transit in the Philippines and return from Narita.
After completing passport control, we looked around the duty-free store.
We found Cleopatra soap, which is ridiculed as a rare Pokémon, and bought it.
It can be found in a pharmacy-like place (Foodplus) attached to the souvenir store.
- Cleopatra Soap → 43.5 AED (about 1,800 JPY)
There was also Bateel and camel soap at the airport, so busy people should buy it at the airport.
Their prices were not much different from those outside the airport.
Since we got souvenirs, we wanted to rest in the Lufthansa lounge, but it was after hours.
It is only open at night, so you should do more research beforehand.
We were going to buy a Dubai lottery ticket, but we forgot.
You can buy one unit for US$278, and you have a 0.05% chance of winning US$1,000,000.
It is famous for being easy to win, as it has a 0.000002% chance to win 100 million yen in the Japanese lottery.

Returning to Japan
We arrived at Narita Airport Terminal 2 at 8 pm.
