Charging Mobile Phone with Vending Machine During Emergency in Japan

There is one thing (almost) everyone cannot live without...  mobile phone! And its charger.

At the time of emergency in Japan, Itoen's vending machine has an emergency charging lever, which you turn till you see a green light on (about 70 turns) to charge small amount of battery. It should give you enough battery to make a short phone call to your family or loved one.  This is a great thing to remember. Thank you Itoen!

Please note that the front little door has to be opened by the machine owner before you can use this great feature. Also you need an usb cable to connect your phone and the vending machine.
