中学生の僕が“貧困”について考える　（5）食事と生活　　　　　　　　　　 A junior high school student think about poverty

今回はフィリピンの貧困層の教育事情やどのような食事をとり、どんな住まいに住んでいるのかご紹介します！

In this article I will write about education, what kind of food do they eat, and about house of philippine′s poverty.

フィリピンの貧困層の教育事情　Philippine poverty′s education

前回で触れたようにフィリピンの貧困層の子供の多くが働かなければならず、教育を受けられないということが起きています。その中には、教育を受けたいという子供もたくさんいます。

フィリピンの教育制度を簡単にご紹介します。フィリピンでは公立の学校では無料で授業が受けられます。（フィリピンの義務教育は13年）
では、なぜ貧困層の人たちは教育が受けられないのでしょうか。それは、学校へ行くとなると筆記用具や弁当など授業料以外にも色々と必要になるからです。
他にも「一日中お金を稼ぐために働いている」というのも学校へいけない大きな理由です。
教育が受けられないと将来就ける仕事が限られてきてしまいます。こうして貧困から抜けられないという連鎖が起きてしまいます。

僕は教育が受けられないという状況が貧困を引き起こす一つの大きな理由だと思います。
国が、教育を無償にするだけでは、家族の為に働いている子供たちは学校に行きたくてもいけません。
なので、義務教育の期間だけでも経済面での補助を多くの人が受けられるような環境も一緒に作れると、より多くの子供達が教育を受けられると思いました。

In Philippine there is a situation that most of poverty children can′t have enough education. But there are a lot of children which want to have education.

In Philippine they can have education in public school by free. Then why can’t they have education? It is because to go to school we need money to buy stationary, lunch etc.

「working hole day to earn money for family」is another big reason why they can’t go to school.
If the children can’t have enough education, in the future the job will be limited. And it cause the bad cycle of poverty.

I think 「can’t have enough education」is one of the big cause of poverty.

But when I was thinking of education, only to make good environment to study won’t solute this problem.

There are a lot of children that work hole day to earn money for their families. So, making more systems to help them with economically problem until they grow up is important I think.

フィリピンの貧困層の食事　Philippine′s poverty′s foods

フィリピンの貧困層の人たちは、満足感を得るために主に安くてカロリーの高い物を食べています。栄養価は二の次です。

お米＋唐揚げ
お米＋干し魚

お米は10キログラムで約600円と比較的安いので主食は米が多く、それと米によく合う干し魚などの塩気の多いものや唐揚げなどの油の多いものを食べます。

唐揚げなどの油物を作るときの油は一度使った物をレストランから安く買って、それを繰り返し使っています。（インタビューより）

そして、ハッピーランドの中で特に貧困な地区ではゴミ山から捨てられた残飯の肉や米などを集めてそれを洗ってから焼いて食べる「パグパグ」という料理を作る人たちがいます。この「パグパグ」を売ったりして稼いだり、自分たちが食べたりもします。

前回の物価のところでも紹介したように高価な割に満腹感が得られない野菜はほとんど食べません。
このため、栄養バランスが悪いということもあり、平均寿命が日本の84歳よりもおおよそ15歳も低くなっています。

People of poverty in Philippine eat cheap and things that can feel full mainly.
Rice is relatively cheap (about six dollar per 10kg ) so, they eat rice almost every time. Side this is the thing that matches to rice(salty things, fried foods).

They mainly use oil which is used once in restaurant(the information from interview)

In heavy poverty area of Happyland, some of the people pick up leftover foods and cook them to eat. It is called 「PugPug」and they sometimes sell them to earn money.

フィリピンの貧困層の住まい Philippine poverty′s house

フィリピンの貧困層の人たちは住まいにもあまりお金をかけません。

路上で暮らしていたり、屋根になる橋の下で寝泊りしたり、簡単な家を作って暮らしたりしています。

このように木や板をつぎはぎして作っています。一つの家は2000円ほどでできるそうです。

不法地帯（ゴミ山の上など）に家を建てたりするのですぐに移動できるように簡易な家を建てて暮らすことが多いです。

Poverty in Philippine doesn’t use much money in house.

They sometimes sleep on the side of road, or make some simple house.

Most of them live in the house like this.
They sometimes live in lawless area.
