英語日記016：カラオケに行きたい

英語日記を書くのは基本的に起床直後と決めているのですが、うまく起きれなかったときや、逆に調子が良すぎてジョギングに出てしまった時などは、昼休みの時間（と言っても自営業なので決まった時間はありませんが）に書くこともあります。

習慣づけようと思った時には「いつやるか」という時間の確保も大事なのでしょうが、バッファが多ければ多いほど習慣は身につきやすいように思います。

というわけで、16本目の日記です。

I want to go to KARAOKE

Karaoke is one of my biggest hobbies. I like music and I have played saxophone for longer than 20 years. But I can not create a big sound of saxophone because it might be too noisy for my neighborhoods. Instead, I often go to karaoke when I want to be in touch with music.

I can feel refreshed when I sing in karaoke. I think there are at least three reasons. Firstly, music has power to make me up. When I want to be more energetic, I sing a song with I sing songs with bright melodies and lyrics. If I feel stress, I choose a ballad to calm me down. 

Secondly, I can breathe deeply in karaoke. There are not many opportunities to make a loud voice. But in karaoke, I do not have to hesitate with my loud voice. After singing, I feel refreshed because I could take deep breaths.

Lastly, I can know a lot of songs I have never heard by listening to my friends' singing. Discovering a new song is so much fun for me. That's why I like to go to karaoke with some of my friends rather than go alone.

I have never been to karaoke in the last two months because most of karaoke houses are closed due to the fear of COVID-19. I am really looking forward to singing a lot of songs in a karaoke house.

おわりに

今までになくフランクなネタを扱ってみたのは、「５パラグラフエッセイ」なるものを書いてみたかったからです。

イントロ→ボディ１→ボディ２→ボディ３→結論という基本的なパラグラフの構成は、欧米では中学あたりから当たり前のように扱うのに対し、日本ではこういった作文技術に触れることはあまりありません。

最近、STEM教育（Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematicsの頭文字をつなげたもの。最近はArtを加えてSTEAM教育ということも）の重要性が叫ばれていますが、実はSTEM分野で世界で渡り合える人材を育てる意味でも、こういった論文の組み立て方を教育の仕組みに落とし込む必要性が高いのではないか？と思っています。
