Day326 ニュージーランドでワーホリ生活-調査イベントの準備真っ盛りに入りました

The Great Kaikoura Whale Count is finally about to start. We've been prepared for it recently. I'm going to be one of the lead spotters. My role is to be on the peninsula almost every day and conduct the counting research with some volunteers. We were up to the counting spot and practised it. It was too windy, so we couldn't find any whales.

I actually have a problem with the way of transportation. I don't own a car, but I have to move frequently between my house and the South Bay or somewhere. My scooter wouldn't be enough for it. I hope to be able to borrow someone's car, but I also think it's not necessary. I'll think about it for a while.

We're going to be on the hill tomorrow, too. I hope we can find some whales and dolphins!

今日からいよいよ調査本腰モード。昼から観察地点まで行って当日のシミュレーションと帰ってきてから調査用紙やら何やら準備を進めてきました。めっちゃ寒かったー、丘の上。こりゃ悪天候時は本当中止しないと絶対風邪引く。笑

問題は交通手段でして、愛も変わらずスクーターしかない私にとっては毎日サウスベイまで行き来してかつ他のイベント会場まで行かないといけない日はなかなかキツイはず。しかしわざわざレンタカーするほどでもないかなぁ…とは思っている。悩ましい。

明日も朝から丘の上に登る予定。ガンバンべー
