夢羽九アルバム「ぼくが考えた最強のゆめばくう」の感想 (Yumeba Ku's Album Impression)

Introduction

私は約3年前（2020年11月）に初めて夢羽九のチャンネルに出会いました。夢羽九のユニークなラップと歌唱スタイル、美しい声は私にとって印象的でした。夢羽九の素晴らしい才能で制作されたこれまでの曲をすべて楽しんできました。夢羽九の曲は彼女自身に特有であり、他では類似のものを見つけることはほとんどありません。最近、夢羽九がフルアルバムをリリースしましたので、その印象を書きたいと思います。そのアルバムのタイトルは「ぼくが考えた最強のゆめばくう」です。以下のリンクでチェックしてみてください。
I first came across Yumeba Ku's channel almost 3 years ago (in November 2020). Her unique style of rapping and singing, combined with her beautiful voice made her stand out to me. I've enjoyed all her songs so far that she's produced with her amazing talents. Her songs are unique to her, and you are unlikely to find anything similar anywhere else. 
Yumeba Ku recently released a full album that I wanted to write my impressions on. It is titled "She is stronger than ever!", be sure to check it out in the link below:

夢羽九の前書きに注意が引かれます（ライナーノーツはBoothで入手可能）。夢羽九は9人の友達にビートとメロディを提供してもらうよう依頼しました。夢羽九はラッパーであるため、ビートはこのアルバム制作の重要な基盤の一つです。彼女がたった一つのツイートから始め、わずか数か月で夢を実現させたことは素晴らしいことです。
As noted in her forward (available with the lyrics on the Booth page), she reached out to 9 friends to provide her the beats and melody. As she is a rapper, the beat is one of the key foundations for her to making this album. It's amazing what she accomplished, starting with just a tweet, and realizing the dream in a few short months.

以下は私の感想です。原文はすべて英語で書かれ、翻訳アプリとAIを使って日本語に翻訳され、その後私の初級レベルの日本語で修正されました。また、私は音楽の専門的な知識を持っておらず、単なるリスナーとファンの感想ですので、あくまで感じたことを綴ったものです。
Below are my thoughts. Note that they are all written in English originally, and translated (badly) into Japanese through translation apps and AI, and then revised by me with my elementary level of Japanese. I also do not have a music background, so it's simply ramblings of a listener and fan.

1 Walkalon' - prod. by 金鉄宰相

このアルバムの最初の曲は、9つの素晴らしい曲をスタートさせる素晴らしい方法です。ライナーノーツから、明らかに都市での歩行というイメージに重点が置かれています。この曲から思い浮かぶのは、夜中に孤独な一人が街の中央を延々と歩いている姿です。街路や店舗から光がちりばめられていますが、特定の焦点はありません。重要なのは、ただ歩き続けて前に進むことです。この曲は穏やかで落ち着いており、セットリストのどこにでも収まるでしょう。最初に演奏されることで、聴衆を後に続く盛り上がりに優しく導いています。中盤ではインタールードとして機能し、最後には皆をゆっくりと落ち着かせるのに役立ちます。これは、深い思考（または思考の欠如）の中で歩きながら聴くことができる曲です。

The firsts song of the album, which is a great way to start the 9 amazing songs. From their liner notes, the emphasis was definitely this image of walking in the city. From the song, what comes to mind is a lone person walking in the middle of the night, endlessly across the city. There's sprinkles of lights from street and shops, but there's no real focus. The point is to just keep walking and moving forward. The song is mellow and calm, and it really would be able to fit anywhere in a setlist. At the start, it helps ease the audience into the hype that is to come. In the middle, it acts as an interlude. At the end, it helps slow everyone down. It is definitely a song I can listen to while walking in deep thought (or lack of thought). 

2 Monday Night Fever - prod. by Nevylulu

アルバムの2曲目は、Nevyluluがビートを持ち上げ、クラブで見かけるような非常にハイテンションの曲を提供しています。Nevyluluが言うように、「可愛いけどカッコいい！」は、間違いなく夢羽九の最も強力な武器の一つです。歌詞の内容は少し大人びていますが、焦らずに何かを始めて楽しむことに焦点が当てられています。個人的には、最近の日本での旅行を思い出させます。休暇中で誰も知らないからこそ、月曜日に踊って楽しむことができたように、私も日常生活で同じメンタリティを持てるといいなと思います。小さなことを心配する時間はないのです。世界平和に貢献するようなより重要なことにフォーカスしましょう。

The second song of the album, the Nevylulu brings up the beat and gives a very high tempo song you'd find in a club. As Nevylulu says, "cute but cool" is definitely one of Yumeba Ku's strongest weapon. The contents of the lyrics are a bit more mature, but the focus is all about jumping in and doing stuff without a care. It personally reminds me of my recent travels in Japan, where I can be dancing on Monday without a care as I was on vacation, and no one would know me anyway. I hope I can adopt the same mentality in my daily life, because we don't have time to be worrying about little things. There are better things to focus on, such as giving a shout out for world peace.

3 夜空とアイス、転がるパンダ - prod. by tonaca

非常に穏やかでリラックスしたLo-fiスタイルの曲で、リラックスした雰囲気にプラスする興味深いボーカルバッキングがあります。この曲のコンセプト全体が非常に興味深く、夢羽九は「サウンド・オブ・ミュージック」からインスピレーションを得ました。世界には本当に悪いニュースが多すぎるので、私たちが愛し楽しむすべてのものを並べてみるのは素晴らしいことです。私はまた、夢羽九が好きなことについてもっと学べて嬉しいです。この曲には夢のような感覚が少しあります。もしMVがあるとしたら、ベッドに飛び込むシーンから始まり、各アイテムのイメージが夢のように一つずつ現れる様子を想像します。私の好きなもの：夢羽九の音楽。

A super peaceful and chill lofi style song, with an interesting vocal backing to add to the relaxed atmosphere. The whole concept of the song is super interesting, as Yumeba Ku too inspiration from Sound of Music. There really are too many bad news in the world, so it's nice to just line up all the things we love and enjoy. I'm also glad I got to learn more about what Yumeba Ku likes. There is a bit of a dreamlike feeling to the song. If there was a MV for this, I would picture it starting with someone jumping into bed, and have the images of each item pop up one by one like a dream.

4 fabulist - prod. by milKeyStain

milKeyStainのリクエストに応じて英語で書かれた素晴らしい曲。夢羽九の多才さをさらに際立たせる方法の一つで、英語に堪能な彼女の多才さを示すものです。夢羽九がこのようなユニークな挑戦を受け入れる姿勢は非常に立派です。この曲には少しの成熟感があり、milKeyStainが示したように、通常の明るい性格の夢羽九よりも少しメランコリックな要素があります。興味深いのは、理想の自分と実際の自分を調和させることができない人物の曲で、それぞれ異なる人物として描かれ、何事にも同意できないという点です。特に、この幻想の中で力を失ったように、最後近くでのやさしいささやきが大好きです。

An amazing song written in English at the request of milKeyStain. Yet another way to highlight the many talents of Yumeba Ku, who is fluent in English. Her willingness to take on unique challenges like this is very admirable. There's a hint of maturity in the song, and like milKeyStain wanted to show, it's a bit more melancholic than the happy personality Yumeba Ku usually shows. It's interesting she wrote the song of someone unable to reconcile their ideal self and real self, each portraying as a different person who can't agree on anything. I especially love the soft whisper near the end as they've lost strength in this fantasy.

5 世界の学者★いえるかな？　- prod. by 諸味胡瓜

両者の創造力は、メッセージやテーマを持たないことから始め、学者たちをポ〇モンのようにリストアップすることまで、本当に素晴らしいものです。学問では、「巨人の肩に立つ」という言葉があり、それは前に来た前任者たちの偉大な知識を利用することを意味します。同様に、私はこれらの二人がこれまでの経験をすべて活用して、楽しくてキャッチーな曲を作り出し、深い意味を持たせずにいます。 "テーマ"がないため、これは楽しく、素晴らしいサウンドですが、それ以外にはあまり言うことがありません。おそらく、子供たちに勉強をさせるための良い曲になるでしょう。こんなかわいい声が私にこれらの学者について教えてくれたら、学校に興味を持つことでしょう。

The creativity of the two, from wanting to have no message and themes, to listing scholars like they're Pok*mon, is truly amazing. In academics, there's a saying "Standing on the shoulders of giants" to mean you utilize the great knowledge of the predecessors who came before you. Similarly, I think these two have utilized all their experiences so far to create a song so fun and catchy, without it having too deep of a meaning. As there's no "theme", there isn't too much to say, other than this is fun and it sounds great. Maybe it'll be a good song for school to get kids to study. I'd definitely be more interested in school if a cute voice like this taught me about these scholars.

6 エトセトラ - prod. by ohenlist

ライナーノートを読む前に、歌詞を正しく翻訳しているかどうか疑問に思っていました。前の曲がテーマを持たなかったかもしれませんが、この曲の論理も非常にユニークで創造的でした。韻を中心にした曲です。これは深く分析して座って聴くべき曲ではなく、むしろ彼女の声帯がただの別の楽器のように聞こえる方法を楽しむ曲です。個人的にお気に入りの一節は、「今から行くなら中高一貫、ぴったんたんたもじぴったん」という部分で、その陽気さが好きです。

Before reading the liner notes, I was wondering if i was translating the lyrics correctly or not. While the previous song may not have had a theme, the logic in this one was also super unique and creative too. A song purely focused on the rhymes. It's not a song where I'm meant to sit down and analyze deeply, but rather just enjoy how it sounds like her vocal cords are juist another instrument. Personal favorite line was "今から行くなら中高一貫, ぴったんたんたもじぴったん" for how upbeat it was.

7 明日の君の空は晴れ - prod. by MC粗木

どんな美しい曲でしょう。これを聴いていると、私のお気に入りの映画の一つのセリフ（『雨に唄えば』）と同じ気持ちになります。「私の立っている場所からは、太陽が照っているようだ」と主人公が言うセリフですが、どんなに大雨が降っていても、夢羽九の歌声を聴ける限り、空は晴れ渡り、最も明るく最高の日になるような気がします。本当に「夢羽マジック」です。このアルバムが、元々の1～3年の計画よりも早く制作されるきっかけとなったことをとても嬉しく思います。いつかセルフリミックス版も聴けることを願っています。

What a beautiful song. Listening to this gives me the same feeling as one of my favorite movie lines (Singing in the Rain), where the main character says "From where I'm standing, the sun is shining all over" despite the heavy rain. It feels like as long as I can hear Yumeba Ku singing, the sky will clear up and it'd be the brightest and best day ever. It truely is "Yumeba Magic". I'm so glad this prompted the creation of this album earlier than the original 1-3 year timeline. I hope we can hear the self-mixed version eventually too.

8 Heaven - prod. by 鵬雛

素敵な曲ですね。夢羽九との多くの曲を持つ鵬雛さんが歌っているので、どこかで聞いたことがあるような感じがします。その馴染みは心地よいですが、同時にこの曲のスタイルと歌詞の対照が、夢羽九に新たなチャレンジをもたらしています。この楽園のアイデアは成熟しています。通常の陽気な解釈ではなく、歌と表現の精神的な充足感です。鵬雛さんがライナーノーツを提供しないというのも、鵬雛らしいと感じます。やーまん。

Such a cool song, that sounds somewhat familiar because it's Suu who's had so many songs with Yumeba Ku before. While the familiarity is comforting, it also still challenges Yumeba Ku by having this contrast between the song style and lyrics. This idea of paradise is mature. It's not the usual upbeat interpretation, but rather a mental and spiritual fulfilment of singing and expression. It also feels very in character for Suu to not provide liner notes. Ya-mon.

9 reboot! - prod. by よう

アルバムの最後の曲で、ようさんの特徴的なアコースティックギターがあります。おそらくアルバムで最も長いラップと歌詞があると思いますが、これが永遠に続いてほしいと思います。ライナーノーツにあるように、これは終わりようがありません。再起動の時が来ました、もう一度やり直しましょう！これはアルバムの「終わり」としてふさわしく、私はすべてをもう一度聴くループを始めるところです。速いテンポのビートと強力なギターコードが、転倒したら起き上がるようにとても励ましい雰囲気を作り出します。あきらめることはなく、進み続けなければなりません。

The final song of the album, with Yoh's signature acoustic guitar. It has the longest raps and lyrics of the album I believe, which is great because I want it to go on forever. Like liner notes say, there's no way this can end. It's time for a reboot and let's do this all over again! It's a fitting "end" to the album, as I begin the loop of listening to everything over again. The fast pace beats and strong guitar chords create a very motivating mood that just tells you to get up when you fall down. There's no giving up, and you have to keep going. 

Conclusion

全体的に、私は夢羽九と夢羽九の曲が大好きです。夢羽九がもたらすエネルギーは伝染性があり、素晴らしい才能を持つ人々を一堂に集めて、このように素晴らしいアルバムを制作することができることを示しています。
街をゆっくり歩くことから始まり、月曜日にクラブで踊り続け、ベッドに入って好きなことを夢見る。現実と夢の間には常に内部の葛藤があるかもしれませんが、それは大丈夫です。時には学者や韻を通じて想像力を自由に飛ばすことを許してあげる必要があります。最終的には空が晴れ渡り、私たちは楽園にいることに気付くでしょう。最後に、終わりにできることは、前に進み続けてすべてをもう一度やり直すことだけです。

Overall, I love Yumeba Ku and her songs. She really is stronger than ever. The energy she brings is infectious, which is shown when she brings together great and talented people to create an album as amazing as this.
From a slow walk through the city, we find ourselves dancing at a club on a Monday. We then hit the bed to dream of all the things we like. There'll always be internal struggle between reality and our dreams, but that's okay. Sometimes we just have to let loose and let our imagination fly free, either through scholars or rhymes. In the end, the sky will clear up, and we'll find ourselves in paradise. Finally, the only thing to do at the end is to keep going and do it all again.
