英語日記#12 自己表現の白Tと黒Tについて

おはようございます！
三連休はかなり充実した睡眠を取ることができました。明日以降もフルチャージで仕事ができそうです。

good morning!
 During the three consecutive holidays, I was able to get a good night's sleep.  It looks like I'll be able to work with a full charge from tomorrow onwards.

今日は私がいつも来ている白と黒のTシャツについてお話ししたいと思います。

昔から色んな服を買うのが大好きでした。中学校で雑誌を読み始めたり、異性を意識して私服を自分で選びはじめた事がきっかけでオシャレに目覚めた気がします。

Today I would like to talk about the white and black T-shirt that I always wear.
 I have always loved buying clothes.  I think I became fashionable when I started reading magazines in junior high school and started choosing my own clothes with an awareness of the opposite sex.

昔は、雑誌の真似をしてみたり、流行りの服を着たりして、その時々の流行りを意識しながら服を買っていた気がします。
いつからか、流行りの服を着ることがあまりかっこよくないと思えてきました。なぜならその人の個性が逆にない気がして、その人に対して好奇心が湧かなくなってきました。

I feel like I used to buy clothes while being aware of what was in fashion at the time, trying to imitate magazines and wearing trendy clothes.
 For some time now, I've come to think that wearing trendy clothes isn't very cool.  This is because I feel that the person lacks individuality, and my curiosity about that person has ceased to arise.

最近の大学生はみんなBTSのような格好に見えます。ダボっとしたパンツにシャツをパンツインして、髪型をセンター分けしています。全員同じ顔に見えるため、全く顔を覚えることができません。

All college students these days look like BTS.  The shirt is tucked into loose pants and the hair is divided in the center.  They all look the same, so I can't remember their faces at all.

ここでもまた#3で紹介したスティーブ・ジョブズのお話をします。スティーブ・ジョブズは、シンプルな格好だけど、タートルネックとデニムの印象が多くの方にあると思います。

Again, I'm going to talk about Steve Jobs introduced in #3.  Steve Jobs has a simple outfit, but I think many people have an impression of a turtleneck and denim.

その人の個性を表現する上では、アイコン的服装の方が逆に記憶に残る気がするし、流行りよりも自己表現としての身なりが重要だと思います。

In terms of expressing a person's individuality, I feel that iconic clothing is more memorable, and I think that self-expression is more important than fashion.

私はそのアイテムとして、あえて無地の白と黒のTシャツを選んでおります。別にTシャツが良いわけではなく、本人が一番自分を表現したい服装を選ぶのが良いと思います。スーツでももちろん良いと思いますし、帽子を被るのでも良いと思います。

For that item, I dare to choose a plain white and black T-shirt.  It's not that a T-shirt is good, but I think it's better to choose clothes that you want to express yourself the most.  Of course, a suit is fine, and a hat is also fine.

私はこの前とある施設に行った時に名刺交換してクロちゃんですと自己紹介したら、「あなたは服装も黒色で名前も覚えやすいですね。」と言われました。その時に黒Tを着ておいてよかったなと思いました。まさに名前と連動した服装だと思い黒Tに目覚めました。

When I went to a certain facility the other day, I exchanged business cards and introduced myself as Kuro-chan.  At that time, I thought it was a good idea to wear a black T-shirt.  I woke up to the black T because I thought it was an outfit linked to the name.

もう一つ何にでも着回せる白Tをアイコンとして設定し、今のファッションが形成されています。

With the white T-shirt that can be matched with anything as an icon, it is shaping the current fashion.

そのため家に白と黒のTシャツだらけになっています。新しいTシャツを買うたびに、妻からまた同じ色を買うのか？といつも妻に怒られています。

As a result, my house is full of white and black T-shirts.  Every time I buy a new T-shirt, do I buy the same color again from my wife?  always angry with her wife.


こだわりを持つためには、我慢も必要です。笑

Patience is also necessary to have commitment.  lol
