『陰口をたたく者のことばは、おいしい食べ物。
　腹の奥に下って行く。』

【箴言　18:8】

　意識していないと、人の陰口やゴシップ話には、乗りやすいものです。井戸端会議や居酒屋での会話はそのような話が多いように思われます。おいしい食べ物のように、それを飲み込んでしまったら、大変な結果になります。聖書ではこのように言われます。「ヨブ20:14 彼が食べた物は腹の中で変わり、彼の内側でコブラの毒となる。」心の中の言葉と口から出る言葉が一つにならなければなりません。その為には、心の中がコブラの毒ではなく、神のみ言葉で満たされたいものです。

　今日も、主のみ言葉で満たされますように・・・。

「The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles,
　And they go down into the inmost body.」

【Proverbs 18:8】

　If we are not aware of it, it is easy to get on the bandwagon of gossiping and talking behind people's backs. Conversations at well-wishers and taverns seem to be full of such talk. Like good food, if you swallow it, you will suffer the consequences. The Bible puts it this way. (Job 20:14) "Yet his food in his stomach turns sour; It becomes cobra venom within him." The words in our hearts and the words out of our mouths must become one. For this to happen, we want our hearts to be filled with the Word of God, not the poison of cobra.

　May we be filled with the Word of the Lord today....
