2022.6.27《今日の聖書》アモス書

善を求めよ。悪を求めるな。そうすれば、あなたがたは生き、あなたがたが言うように、万軍の神、【主】が、ともにいてくださる。

　（アモス書　5:14／新改訳2017）

 
預言者アモスが神様の言葉を伝えていたこの当時、民衆は安心しきっていました。自分の富を頼りに、形骸的な宗教儀式をもって、安心していたのです。そんな民衆にとって、アモスの言葉はショックでした。そして、アモスは大胆に語るのです、「主を求めて生きよ」(4節)と、そうすれば、主がともにいてくださるからと。
 
今日も、主と共に歩むことができますように・・・。

 Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.

【Amo5:14／NKJV】

When the Prophet Amos was transmitting the word of God, the people had been truly relieved. Because they relied on their wealth to perform mere religious rituals. The people were shocked by the words of Amos. And he speaks boldly, “Seek Me and live;(verse four), and the Lord will be with you.”
 
May we walk with the Lord today as well.
