私たちはあなたがたに、私たちの主イエス・キリストの力と来臨を知らせましたが、それは、巧みな作り話によったのではありません。私たちは、キリストの威光の目撃者として伝えたのです。

【Ⅱペテ1:16／新改訳2017】

　ペテロが目撃したのは、変貌山での出来事でした。イエス様は、ペテロとヨハネとヤコブを伴って、高い山に登られました。そして、そこで、イエス様の御姿がみるみる変わっていきました。顔は太陽のように輝き、衣は光のように白くなっていったのです。(マタイ17:1ｰ8)自分が目撃したことを伝えることほど力強いメッセージはありません。

　今日も、主の平安の中で過ごせますように・・・。

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

【2Pe 1:16／NKJV】

Peter witnessed the events on the Mount of Transfiguration. Jesus, accompanied by Peter, John, and James, ascended the high mountain. And there, Jesus' appearance was transformed. His face shone like the sun and His clothes became white as light. (Matthew 17:1-8) There is no more powerful message than that which he himself shares as an eyewitness.
