2022.8.30《今日の聖書》コリント人への手紙第二
『ですから私は、キリストのゆえに、弱さ、侮辱、苦悩、迫害、困難を喜んでいます。というのは、私が弱いときにこそ、私は強いからです。』
もしも私に類まれな能力があり、私が一言発すると多くの人々が魅せられ、非常な富に囲まれていたとしたら、神様への信頼は希薄になってしまったことでしょう。しかし、私が弱さの中にあり、何の功おしもなかったら、そして、創造主なる神様を信じていたら、神様を信じていく道を選ぶことでしょう。
今日も、主に信頼を置くことができますように・・・。

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
If I had exceptional ability, if I had been surrounded by great wealth, and if my every word had attracted many people, my trust in God would have been diluted. However, if I were in weakness, had no accomplishments, and had faith in God the Creator, I would choose to trust Him.
May we put our trust in Him today・・・.
