『【主】がシオンを復興してくださったとき
　私たちは夢を見ている者のようであった。』

【詩篇　126:1】

　異教の地へと連れて行かれるときの民の心は、どんなに不安で、悲壮で、苦痛だったことでしょう。その時は未来が見えなくて沈痛な気持ちでした。でも、神様は、７０年後に、ペルシャ王クロスを用いて帰還命令を出させるのです。これは、誰も予想できない出来事でした。散り散りになっていた家族や知人が戻って来る様子を見ながら、まるで「夢をみている者のようであった」と歌ったのです。

　今日も、主のみ旨を信じることができますように・・・。　

「When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
　We were like those who dream.」　　

【Psalms 126:1】

　How anxious, sad, and painful must have been the hearts of the people when they were taken to a pagan land. It was a somber feeling at the time, because they could not see the future. However, 70 years later, God used Cyrus, king of Persia, to issue the order to return. This was an event that no one could have predicted. As they witnessed the return of their scattered families and acquaintances, they sang, "We were like those who dream."

　May we believe in the Lord's will today.
