2023.2.27《今日の聖書》詩篇

『鹿が谷川の流れを慕いあえぐように
　神よ　私のたましいはあなたを慕いあえぎます。』

【詩42:1】

　ここから第二巻に入ります。表題には「指揮者のために。コラ人のマスキール」と書かれてあります。コラはレビ族でしたが、モーセに逆らい、主によって滅ぼされましたが、その子孫は、神に忠実に従い、ダビデによって、コラの一族の者たちを聖歌隊の指導者として任命し、彼らは何百年もの間、神殿の音楽家でもあったのです。そのコラの子孫によって49篇までは書かれています。

　今日も、主を慕い求めることができますように・・・。

「As the deer pants for the water brooks,
　So pants my soul for You, O God.」

【Psa 42:1】

Here we enter the BookⅡ. The title reads “To the Chief Musician. A Contemplation of the sons of Korah.” Korah was a Levite, disobeyed Moses, and was destroyed by the Lord. But his descendants followed God faithfully, and David appointed the family of Korah to lead the choir, and they were musicians in the temple for hundreds of years. Up to Psalm 49 was written by the descendants of Korah.

May we pant for and long for the Lord today as well.
