2023.2.25《今日の聖書》詩篇

『幸いなことよ
　弱っている者に心を配る人は。
　わざわいの日に　【主】はその人を助け出される。』

【詩41:1】

　弱っている人と共にどこまで寄り添えるか。無関心な人、表面的には寄り添える人、ある程度は寄り添える人、最後まで寄り添える人、いろいろでしょうが、最後の最後まで寄り添える人はなかなかいません。どこかで自己中心の姿が出てくるのです。原罪がある限り避けられません。でも、イエス様は、最後の最後まで、死に至るまで、私たちを救う為に、私たちに寄り添ってくださいました。そこに愛があるのです。

　今日も、十字架の愛に心を留めることができますように・・・。

「Blessed is he who considers the poor;
　The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.」

【Psa 41:1】

How far can we go with those who are weak? There are people who are indifferent, people who can be close to them superficially, people who can be close to them to some extent, people who can be close to them until the end, etc., but there are few people who can be close to them until the last moment. Somewhere along the way, self-centeredness comes into play. As long as original sin exists, it is inevitable. But Jesus stood by us to save us, even to the very end, even to death. Therein lies love.

Today, may we remain mindful of the love of the cross.
