【主】を恐れることは知恵の訓戒。謙遜は栄誉に先立つ。
「謙遜であれ、柔和であれ、しかし意気地なしであってはならない」と内村鑑三は語っています。紙一重の部分があります。謙遜と言いながら、意気地がなかったり、柔和と言いながら、ただ大人しく言うべきことを言えなかったりすることが多々あります。人間ですから、そういう弱さも抱えていますが、それで自分を合理化することなく、どこかで自分を変える力を頂きたいものです。自戒をこめて。
今日も、主の力により頼むことができますように・・・。

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.
Kanzo Uchimura said, “You must be humble and meek, but not stubborn." There is a very fine line between them. That being said, while I say I'm humble, but I'm stubborn, and sometimes while I say I'm meek, I'm just quiet and can't say what I should say. Being a human, we have such weaknesses, but I would like to get the power to change myself, not to content myself, with self-discipline.
May we entrust the Lord today as well.
