2022.10.27《今日の聖書》ヨハネの黙示録

神は彼らの目から涙をことごとくぬぐい取ってくださる。もはや死はなく、悲しみも、叫び声も、苦しみもない。以前のものが過ぎ去ったからである。

　聖書は、天地創造から始まり、その終りがどうなるかまでが綴られています。聖書が書かれてある通りにこの世は推移してきました。まだ実現に至っていないのは、携挙、艱難時代、再臨、千年王国、新天新地なのです。今日の箇所は新天新地の描写なのです。その場所には、死もなく、悲しみもなく、叫び声も苦しみもないと書かれてあります。永遠に平安な場所なのです。

　今日も、主の平安の中で生かされますように・・・。

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

The Bible begins with the creation and ends with how it will end. The world has been progressing exactly as the Bible describes it. What has not yet come to pass are the Rapture, the Tribulation Period, the Second Coming, the Millennial Kingdom, and the New Heaven and New Earth. Today's passage is a description of the New Heaven and New Earth. It says that in that place there will be no death, no sorrow, no shouting, and no suffering. It is a place of eternal peace.

May we live in the peace of the Lord today.
