『乾いたパンが一切れあって平穏なのは、
　ごちそうと争いに満ちた家にまさる。』

【箴言　17:1】

　これは、ソロモン王の言葉です。彼は王様ですから、贅沢な宮殿、美しい女性、美味しい食卓には事欠かなかった事でしょう。しかし、彼には七百人の王妃、三百人の側女がいました。そして、その妻たちが彼の心を転じたと聖書に書かれています。彼の周りは、争いで満ちていたことでしょう。貧しくても神の平和の中で暮らすのが一番です。

　今日も、主の平和の中で過ごせますように・・・。　

　「Better is a dry morsel with quietness,
　Than a house full of feasting with strife.」

【Proverbs 17:1】

　These are the words of King Solomon. He was a king, so there must have been no shortage of lavish palaces, beautiful women, and delicious food. But he had 700 queens and 300 concubines. The Bible says that his wives turned his heart against him. His surroundings would have been filled with strife. It is best to live in God's peace, even if you are poor.
