2022.8.22《今日の聖書》コリント人への手紙第一
神の愚かさは人よりも賢く、神の弱さは人よりも強いからです。
イエス様が私たちの罪の為に死なれたというのは、信じない人にとっては、とても愚かに思えることでしょう。でも、その愚かな人が罪赦され、永遠の命を与えられ、いつまでも主と共に過ごすことが約束されているのです。この「愚かな人たち」は、自分がどこから来て、何のために生き、何処へ行くのかが明確なのです。
今日も、主の救いに感謝できますように・・・。

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
It must seem very foolish to those who do not believe that Jesus died for our sins. But that foolish person has been forgiven of his sins, given "eternal life," and is promised to spend it with the Lord forever. These "foolish people" are clear about where they came from, what they live for, and where they are going.
May we thank the Lord for His salvation today as well.
