『さて、イエスがベタニアで、ツァラアトに冒された人シモンの家におられたときのことである。食事をしておられると、ある女の人が、純粋で非常に高価なナルド油の入った小さな壺を持って来て、その壺を割り、イエスの頭に注いだ。』

（マル14:3）【新改訳2017】

　水曜日は、ベタニアにおける一日でした。イエス様は、シモンの家にいました。その時に、マリヤがイエス様の葬りの備えとして、み足に高価な香油を注ぎました。その一方でイスカリオテのユダは大祭司のもとでイエス様を裏切る策を練っていたのです。私たちを救う為の十字架の道が刻々と近づいていたのです。

　今日も、主の十字架に近づくことができますように・・・。

「And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.」

　Wednesday was a day in Bethany. Jesus was at Simon's house. At that time, Mary anointed His feet with costly anointing oil as a preparation for His burial. Meanwhile, Judas the Iscariot was working out a plan to betray Jesus under the High Priest. The way of the cross to save us was getting closer every moment.

　May we draw near to the cross of the Lord today....
