2022.6.15《今日の聖書》へブル人への手紙
これらの人たちはみな、信仰の人として死にました。約束のものを手に入れることはありませんでしたが、はるか遠くにそれを見て喜び迎え、地上では旅人であり、寄留者であることを告白していました。
地上では、旅人であり、寄留者であるとすると、この世の中で固執するものはないのです。本当に大切なものは、多くはありません。たった一つなのです。それさえ握っていれば、天の故郷を目指して軽く旅立てるのです。私たちの故郷は生まれた所でもなく、育った所でもなく、イエス様がおられる天の御座が故郷なのです。
今日も、主のみ言葉と共に歩むことができますように・・・。

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
We are strangers and pilgrims on the earth, so there is nothing to stick to in this world. There aren't many things that are really important. It's just one. As long as we hold it, you will travel lightly toward our heavenly home. Our hometown is neither the place where we were born nor the place where we grew up, but the throne of heaven where Jesus is.
May we walk with the word of the Lord today as well.
