2022.10.31《今日の聖書》ミカ書
主はあなたに告げられた。人よ、何が良いことなのか、【主】があなたに何を求めておられるのかを。それは、ただ公正を行い、誠実を愛し、へりくだって、あなたの神とともに歩むことではないか。
立派な教会堂もいいでしょう。大勢の信者もいいでしょう。甘美な音楽もいいでしょう。でも、神様が求めておられるのはそれだけではありません。人に接している時に公正だろうか、不愉快に感じる人に対して誠実に対応しているだろうか、どんな人にも謙遜な気持ちを身に着けているだろうか。神様が望んでいることは、正しく生きること、主と共に歩むことなのです。
今日も、主と共に歩むことができますように・・・。
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
A fine church building would be good. Large numbers of believers would be good. Sweet music is good. But that's not all God requires of us. Are we fair in our behavior with others? Are we sincere in our attitude toward those who make us feel uncomfortable? What God requires is that we live righteously and walk with the Lord.
May we walk with the Lord today.
