自分のいのちを愛する者はそれを失い、この世で自分のいのちを憎む者は、それを保って永遠のいのちに至ります。
イエス様は、自分の命を惜しむことなく十字架上で捧げました。イエス様に従うということは、今までの自分中心の生活を捨てることでもあります。肉の欲、目の欲、暮らし向きの自慢、これらを捨てることでもあります。そうすると、永遠の命に至る高次の霊性を保つことができるようになるのです。
今日も、霊的に高められますように・・・。

"He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Jesus generously dedicated his life on the cross. To obey Jesus is to abandon your egocentric life. It is to throw away the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Then you will be able to maintain the higher spirituality that leads to eternal life.
May we increase our spiritually today as well.
