『知恵は、道の傍らにある丘の上、
　通りの四つ角に立ち、
　町の入り口にある門のそば、
　正門の入り口で高らかに言う。』

【箴言　8:2-3】

人生を乗り越えていくには、知識も必要でしょうが、一番大事なのは知恵があるかどうかです。ここでは、その知恵が、丘の上から叫んでいる、道端にころがっている、町の出入り口で大声で呼ばわっているというのです。でも、人々は、その声に耳を傾けない、気が付かないでいるのです。知恵とは、「私が道であり、真理であり、いのちなのです」と言われたイエス・キリストなのです。

　今日も、真理のみ言葉に心を寄せることができますように・・・。

「She takes her stand on the top of the high hill,
　Beside the way, where the paths meet.
　She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city,
　At the entrance of the doors:」

【Proverbs 8:2-3】

　You may need knowledge to get through life, but the most important thing is to have wisdom. Here, that wisdom is heard shouting from the hills, lying on the roadside, and calling out loudly at the entrances and exits of the city. But the people don't listen to it, don't notice it. Wisdom is Jesus who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

　May we be attentive to the Word of Truth today....
