2023.1.12《今日の聖書》詩篇

『私は身を横たえて眠りまた目を覚ます。【主】が私を支えてくださるから。』

【詩3:5】

この詩の作者であるダビデは、この時、息子アブシャロムから謀反を起こされ、逃げざるを得ない状況にありました。安心して眠れる状況ではありませんでした。でも、ダビデは、「しかし、主よ」と顔を天に向け、祈ったのです。すると、神は、ダビデに安心感を与え、睡眠を与え、ゆとりを与えてくださったのです。どんな状況の中にあったとしても、主が支えてくださるという確信があったのです。

　今日も、主の平安の中で過ごされますように・・・。

「I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.」　

【Psa 3:5】

David, the author of this psalm, was forced to flee at this time because of the rebellion of his son Absalom. It was not a situation in which he could sleep in peace. But David turned his face toward heaven and prayed, "But You, O Lord." And God gave him peace of mind, sleep, and comfort. He had the assurance that the Lord would sustain him in any situation.

May we spend today in the peace of the Lord.
