2022.8.18《今日の聖書》へブル人への手紙

『私たちの大祭司は、私たちの弱さに同情できない方ではありません。罪は犯しませんでしたが、すべての点において、私たちと同じように試みにあわれたのです。』

【ヘブル4:15／新改訳2017】

　大祭司であるイエス様は、私たちと同じように肉体を持ってこの世に降りてこられました。いろいろな試みにあわれましたが、罪を犯すことはありませんでした。「肉の欲、目の欲、暮らし向きの自慢」、私たちには罪の性質があるので、誘惑にすぐに落ちてしまいそうですが、イエス様は、試みを受けても罪を犯さなかった点で、私たちとは違っていたのです。

　今日も、主に信頼を寄せることができますように・・・

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

【Heb 4:15／NKJV】

　Jesus, the High Priest, came down to earth in the flesh just like us. He was tempted in many ways, but He did not sin. We have a sin nature, "the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life," and we may easily fall into temptation, but Jesus was different from us in that He did not sin even though He was in temptation.
