2022.8.31《今日の聖書》ペテロの手紙第一
同じように、夫たちよ、妻が自分より弱い器であることを理解して妻とともに暮らしなさい。また、いのちの恵みをともに受け継ぐ者として尊敬しなさい。そうすれば、あなたがたの祈りは妨げられません。
男女平等とは言っても、肉体的、生理的に男女では、相当な違いがあるのです。その違いを埋めることから始めなければなりません。それができれば、妻を守り、助け、敬い、一緒に時間を過ごすこととなることでしょう。楽しい観劇や贅沢な食事もたまには、いいでしょうが、一番大事なのは、妻の心労を取り除いてやることなのです。
今日も、主の道に歩むことができますように・・・。

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
Although men and women are said to be equal, there are considerable physical and physiological differences between the sexes. We must start by bridging those differences. Once we can do that, we can protect, help, respect, and spend time with our wives. A fun theater-going, a luxurious meals may be nice once in a while, but the most important thing is to heal your wife's heart.
